“Stunning site”
Reviewed 3 July 2014

Fantastic site. You get really close - indeed at times on top of the excavated pits. Much remains in place and it is fascinating to piece together some of the causes and consequences of what has happened in the last 2000 years. Tomb robbers, collapsed walls and time have all played their part - but they have still left a stunning glimpse into a fascinating past. Go. You won't be disappointed.

“Wow great tomb- Amazing set up”
Reviewed 24 June 2014

Yes its hard to take photos but try to keep flash off as the whole place is surrounded by glass. BUT you get very close to the excavations and can see all the detail you miss in the terracotta warriors. Plus there are no big crowds. 100% well worth the short trip and cab fare.

“A rare almost empty site”
Reviewed 23 June 2014

We went here first on our way from the airport to town since it is close to the airport. There were no tour busses and almost no people so we were free to take our time and take lots of photos and really enjoy the exhibit. These 'mini-warriors", all still in situ, give a good insight into the difficulty in excavating the area as you can wander a bit outside as well as underground. It was fascinating literally standing on top of the dig. You have to love the terra cotta animals , our favorite being the "sea of pigs". The movie at the end is pretty cool and the shop has some amazing antiques.

“Unique experience unearthing history”
Reviewed 23 June 2014

The exhibit halls are cooling and it is unique to view the exhibits underground at close distance. We were told that the tour takes about an hour but we took more than double the time (we visited the outdoor gardens as well). The movie about Emperor Jingdi and the empress is interesting too. As there are not many visitors, we had the whole theatre to ourselves. Worth a visit, esp it's on the way to/from the airport.

“The other terracotta Warriors!”
Reviewed 21 June 2014

Why do most tours not go here? Deserted! These 1/3 size terracotta warriors with all the animals and food stores for the afterlife are totally different but equally as fascinating as the other better-known ones.
