I chose that hotel because it's just 4 bus stop away from the train station, where we were arriving from , so easy to get there and jump in the shower. we then went for a wander. there is not that much around. we had to take the bus to get to the city wall, the bell tower and other landmarks.
there is no safe in the room which I did not like. but the beds are nice and comfortable. the room is small but clean . It was smelling like cigarette when we checked in, but it's allowed to smoke in the rooms, so what can you do ? we kept the window open, and it was fine.
there is a big buffet breakfast for 38 Yuans avalable, which was quite good.
The rooms also come with an internet cable that you can use for free. and the lobby has wifi. Internet is not that easy to find in China ! so you appreciate when an hotel has it .

it's a comfortable and clean hotel, but I would not stay there more than 2 nights because of the poor location.

not well located and with personal unfriendly and no-english spoken, this hotel doesn't worth its price. Room are old fashioned, smelling of smoke and with a bathroom not describle.
Avoid it definetly!

My husband and I stayed here for two nights. The rooms are small and need to be updated. The carpet in our room was very stained and in need of being replaced. The bathroom was very tiny. The commode was behind the door and sitting so close to the shower that you couldn't get between the two. The tile in the shower was very stained, old and cracked. With all of this said, the room was clean. The sheets were clean. There were two English TV stations. The beds were very uncomfortable to me. They were very Chinese and hard. If you have back problems like me this should not be your choice for hotels. The plus to the hotel was the location. It was within a 15-20 minute easy walk to the bell and drum tower which have many places to eat. Another plus, when we checked in this hotel the two girls spoke fairly good English. If you have problem climbing stairs or need wheelchair accessible I did not see a location that you would be able to enter. There are 10-12 steps that you must climb to go into the lobby.

Good hotel if your only going to be in town a couple of nights. Walls were a bit paper thin as we could hear next doors conversation in the morning and snoring through the night.

Get the hotel address in Chinese before you go, we had a nightmare of a time at the train station trying to get a taxi to take us there, ended up getting a tuk tuk who didnt have a clue either but the 8th person she asked seemed to know so all was good in the end.

Breakfast isnt the best but fills a gap and saves you any hassle of trying to find somewhere else to get food if you have a busy day ahead of you.

If you struggle to eat the local food i would recommend the pub restaurant in the Hyatt Hotel which isnt that far from here, its serves all the western food you would expect and has a band on most nights and plenty of sport on the tv.

All in all Xi'an is only to be visited for the Terracotta Warriora which are unreal and a short stay in this hotel is ideal for budget travellers like we were.

Bathroom and carpet shabby. TV picture fair. Towels and bedding very nice. Softest bed we've had in China. Internet connection very fast and easy. Staff very friendly. View from our window was a gutted building, but I think some others had a better view. Maybe our tour company got a cheap rate for the rooms on this floor. Breakfast buffet very good.
