We just got back from a 5 night stay at this property. Overall the location is excellent , really near the bell tower and muslim quarter. A variety of mid range restaurants and street food vendors are within a 2 min walk. The property itself is old. The rooms though fairly clean were poorly kept. I have never seen a hotel room with torn furniture! Service is almost non existent and front desk staff are poorly trained. Do not expect a friendly greeting from any of the staff. The lady who checked us in on our first night was most appalling of all. She actually asked where did we make our booking when the booking email print out I showed her clearly stated an email from citadines, i.e. the property itself!! All in all, most of the staff look like a sullen and disgruntled bunch. Avoid the massage place next door (not affiliated to the hotel), it is not the proper kind of massage, some dodgy characters walking in and out.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms on the 3rd floor as they are near the laundry room and gym. The floor is very shape shabby looking

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. The location was perfect, within walking distance to Drum & Bell Towers. The twin rooms were nicely designed with a divider between the two beds, which was larger then our American twin. There's a foot massage spa next door and it was the perfect finish to a long day. The restaurant downstairs was decent as well, so if you were too tired to go out for food, just stay in. There's minor reburshing going on in the hallway, but it was not noisy or dirty; very manageable since we were out all day.

The renovations were a little inconvenient, but overall good value for money. Great room, modern, clean, plenty of space. The bed was divine, really soft and comfy. Sensational location, friendly staff.

Enjoyable and well equipped apart'hotel. There were two queen beds which was spacious for two of us. We stayed for 4 nights, wifi is effective, but annoying not in lobby or in the restaurant. Location is central and easy to find. A short 12 min walk from the underground station.
Also near the airport shuttle bus stop on the Main Street. Here, be careful of scammers who try to get u to take taxis...or say the coach bus is full, u'll be late, take taxi instead. Ignore them and check with those in uniform who are legit from the airport shuttle company.

We were happy with our stay. The room was clean and spacious. Breakfast fine, as well as the resturant. And the hotel has a good location. The thing is that the staff seemed to be attentive and serviceminded until we had left the hotel. The recepionist went to get us a taxi, and as he came to take us out to the taxi he told us the driver would charge 100 RMB for the ride. We were taken by surprise as this was a price high above what we were used to in Xi'an. On the way the driver told us he had had to pay the recepitionist 30 RMB before the receptionist followed us out. We were very dissapointed by this incident as our stay otherwise had been plesant.
