This hostel is in the perfect location in downtown with easy access to anything you want. The outdoor patio is the perfect place for a coffee in the morning or a drink for happy hour. However, the loud stereotypical "backpacker" (chain smoker, drunk, loud, obnoxious, and always bragging) dominates the evening scene making it less enjoyable to stay in the hostel or sleep. We'd stay here again for the location and friendly staff, but would simply avoid the open areas in the night time.

Room Tip: Stay as far away from the main open area as possible.

good location
but very noisy (both from fans of nearby restaurants and nighlife)
beds quite poor but rooms as such decent (private rooms)
staf very poor language skills
open terras is nice for an evening drink, but you could also use bar without sleeping there

Room Tip: sleep elsewhere but use the bar

This hostel gives you the feeling of a train station. Eveeything is dark and crowded. The toilets are very bad, the staff of the hostel are using it as well and while we were there no hot water for shower were supplied. The staff was not so helpfull so in all it was a poor expeience. Oh, the computers are not for free as well. If you can give it a pass

Good: location; close to modern shopping areas and people; easy to find
Bad: non-airconditioned rooms; open windows; plenty of mosquitoes (received 3 massive bites); burning mosquito incense in the room (cannot tolerate due to nose sensitivity); noisy room (cars honking nonstop); toilet area not so conducive (dimly lit, etc) ; zero introduction by staff (rules and such when you leave, etc); no toilet paper (cost Y2, this appears to be standard in most hostels; but i wasn't informed when i checked in); would not return; Cloudland Hostel was way better.
