“Nice place with a local feeling”
Reviewed 4 August 2013

I liked to walk around the park with the old buildings and the lotus flowers in bloom. Old people playing cards and mahjong, drinking tea...just hanging out. Very calm, peacefull, local...not many tourists. I wish I could have stayed longer.

“Lake View from Gondola”
Reviewed 30 May 2013

We spent an afternoon with friends riding the gondola to the top of the mountain with a great view of the lake. Although there are pollution problems with the lake the government is working hard to eradicate this problem. We enjoyed the gondola ride, a wonderful walk along the mountainside ridges as well as a walk in a beautiful garden near where you catch the gondola.

“Not worth it”
Reviewed 16 April 2013

I was truly expecting more. It's a bit of hike to get out here, about a thirty minute cab ride and longer by bus. But not only was there not much to do out here. There was so much construction going on that you could only walk for a little way. And because of the construction, the air was very dusty. It doesn't help that the lake is terribly polluted. For the time being, stay away.

“clean air”
Reviewed 16 February 2013

Despite the water is highly polluted, the view is still beautiful and the air quality is premium. Government has put a lot of efforts to deal with the water pollution. A lot of wetlands have been set up around the lake, which are very nice places. So spending one day visiting the lake is a great idea.
