“Beautiful walk across the lake”

This is the longer of the two causeways that cut through the lake and both are beautiful places for a stroll, protected from the traffic and noise of the main city. You won't escape other tourists, but part of the charm is enjoying the views with everyone else and not even the most heaving crowds could make this other than a delightful walk or cycle.

Sudi, or Su Causeway is a straight road leading to Leifeng Pagoda. It takes an hour for slow walking, during which you can see yourself inside the scenery.

A georgeous place to go for a walk and very picturesque - there is a new photo opportunity all the time.
There were very crowded with tourists, but still it was beautiful and well worth a visit.

Had a great time walking both directions on this one day, from the Shangri La Hotel to the Gardens and back. The next day rented Bikes and took the Causeway over to the Pagoda and back, it was my first time riding a bike in 22 yrs and it went just fine. Its quite busy and there are tour buses that go down it, but no other cars, but scooters are allowed. Great places on either side to stop sit down and have a picnic or just a beer.

It is one of the best Causeways in China. Had an excellent time spending time away from the city's traffic. Overall beautiful locations. and great place for some excellent photography.
