Great location in West Lake - close to country inn restaurants, West Lake park and the tea farms! Walking distance to the park/lake and country inns. About a 15 minute cab ride to Hangzhou entertainment district. Do make a point at eating in one of the near by country inn restaurants - great experience.

Hotel itself is well appointed. Rooms are very spacious with high quality finishing. However, the carpet in my room had several stains and the cleanliness was not up to standard overall. Restaurant was better than average. However, I would stay here again due to its close proximity to park and several points of interest.

Room Tip: Request room in main building with view of Lake.

It was the first time in china and i was there for a conference. the hotel is located in in an amazing place near the western lake and the city center ( 5 minutes by a taxi and wont cost you more than 15 Yuan which is less than 2 euros). It has its own garden, fitness room, massage, and swimming pool included in the price.
You can reach there from the airport only by a taxi ( don't take any other offers from guys standing at the door to take u with double the price) which will cost you around 130 Yuan. Buses don't reach that zone since its for resorts only.
There is internet cable in the room (included with the price of the room) and the breakfast is very nice (open Buffet).
The room is clean and neat with a comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. the stuff are polite and very cooperative.

It's nice and okay, it really is all there is to say. The rooms are clean the hotel is alright, but it really is far from many tourist attractions. The restaurants are not the best, and everything you really want to visit in Hangzhou is far. Luckily the taxis are usually always waiting outside at all times. The stay was nice but it's an average hotel. Service was present but excellent. It's not bad, but it's just not great. Very average.

I stayed here for a conference and had a good experience despite being at work. The many conference spaces were very nice, and spread out over the conference complex. The Chinese breakfast options were good - better than the Western options (which is often the case in Chinese run hotels). The buffet lunch was also fine, as were the banquet dinners that were part of the conference. As for the rooms, the beds harder and smaller than you would get in a Western chain, but it was still pretty comfortable. All in all, a decent stay, especially if you speak Chinese - non Chinese speakers may have a harder time. If you get a chance, ask about the history of the hotel - it used to be exclusive for Party elites.

The Zhejiang Hotel on Santaishan Road is an beautiful lush section on the west side of West Lake. If you wanted a soothing, green, park-like environment to stay in, then this is it. Very relaxing, and a series of Gardens are only 10 min walk away. The Su Di West Lake Causeway is only a 25 min walk, and the Hotel also rents bicycles. There is a collection of small restaurants only 5 min away, and the hotel restaurants are good as well. The hotel room is among the nicest I've enjoyed in China. But--I am not sure how my experience would have been if I didn't speak chinese. Downtown is a 15 min, 20 RMB taxi ride away--again very doable if you speak chinese, not so much if you don't. Lastly--shared airflow between rooms means you periodically get a lot of cigarette smoke odor in your room. Not fun, but this is China.

I'm currently staying at the hotel and while it's a very nice and clean place, it's out of the way and the restaurants in the hotel are really terrible. We have a deluxe twin room, the choice of of views seem to be very limited, we are looking at the parking lot. For the price and the amount of stars they want, its simply not worth it. I'm having travelers remorse sitting here in the lobby waiting for a cab to take me out to get something to eat.
