For a relatively big hotel, it's quite a cozy little place. The hotel has a European theme, without the old stuffy and musty environment.
Rooms are quite big (we may have been given bigger rooms) with a two-seater couch and coffee table, a writing desk and 2 beds. The linens were soft and even use memory foam pillows aside from the usual Japanese bead pillows. Temperature in the room was good, not too hot and stuffy from the heaters during winter. And windows open a bit in case it does get stuffy. The decors were quite tasteful. I love that it had 2 toilets and 1 shower, much easier during the morning when two people can get ready at the same time without having to wait for the toilet and sink. The shower was a bit small but compared to other Japanese hotels, it's bigger. We stayed here twice, once we had a small gazebo outside the room, and the other one, we had a canopy bed instead of the regular bed. I prefer the regular beds though cause the room appears bigger and more air :-) The room was clean and smelled fresh. They also had a ionizer/air cleaner machine in every room. It also had a small refrigerator.
This is probably the first hotel where I had more power sockets than I needed. I had to charge my phone, my power bank, my camera, and my laptop. Usually, I have to wait to charge one after the other. They even had an extension cord on the bedside table with 3 sockets.
The hotel has a very nice indoor winter garden with a sunroof, you can actually sit there and read a book, but most people just go and take photos :-) The elevators were old style ones which was cute and the lobby, hallways, are also decorated with quaint decors.
Very convenient, it's very near the JR Sapporo Station (subway) and shopping/restaurant buildings like Daimaru, Stellar Place, Esta (popular ramen shops at the 10F), and Tokyu. 10 minute walk and you'll also reach the popular Odori Park. There is a convenience store right on the same block and a few more within 2 blocks away. The area is quiet at night which I like, but accessibility is still excellent.
There's wifi at the lobby and the rooms which is very convenient. At certain times during the day, it could be a bit slow but is sufficient for checking emails
Breakfast came with our package, and it had good variety and includes both western and Japanese. The food was also of good quality, e.g. breads, waffles that can be heated up in the oven, eggs, sausages, rice and Japanese viands, soup, juices, milk, coffee, tea. Fresh fruit variety was limited though, included some canned fruits, but it seems to be common across Japan or at least Hokkaido, also during winter.
