I always enjoy to learn more about the history that has shaped our world (even though I am not at all a big history buff)， but there is no better way to learn than in the surroundings of where the event has occured.
The museum provides great detail on the tragedy of the atomic bomb in what I felt was a very factual way. The museum stated facts but also provided personal stories from victims and it families affected by the tragedy.
The audio guide was useful as it can be really crowded so I found that this helped when you couldn't always find space to read the descriptions on the displays. It also provided a few snippets of addition information.
The entry fee was a reasonable 200yen and the audio guide 300 yen.
We travelled to Hiroshima from Osaka on a day trip which was very doable using the Shinkansen. The street car in Hiroshima made getting to the museum simple.
I was happy we decided to make this a stop on our Japan trip.
