The location of this hotel was great. It's very close to JR Motomachi station, which is one station away from Sannomiya and two stations from the Kobe Station. It is also right next to Chinatown where you can get those famous pork buns. It is also across the street from the department store (where you can always find an ATM that will take your American debit card if you need cash!) and the basement of the department store has great bakeries, a fancy grocery store, and other things if you want to get something more western or traditional Japanese treats as gifts for others back home. Their is a lounge that you can use and get free coffee and tea from 3-midnight on the 2nd floor. It also is not far from the port and Meriken Park and it made for a great morning run. I thought the rates were super as we paid $160 for 2 nights.

Great Hotel, great location (Motomachi - not far from Sannomiya).

Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast could be better BUT there is a Starbucks in the same building.

Located RIGHT NEXT TO CHINATOWN with great food!

We stayed 6 nights in this hotel and were absolutely satisfied with everything. Location is top one in the heart of the city, close to all sightseeing spots, shopping malls and transport hubs. Room was small, but very comfortable and efficiently planned. Bathroom is high tech equipped, all necessary amenities and perfect usability.
Unlike other hotels in Japan, air in the room was not dry. Additional humidifier was available in the cupboard. Reception staff was always friendly, helpful and not disturbing. Check-in/out is done by a vending machine (cool!). From 15:00 until 24:00 all visitors can have free drinks in a nice lounge on the 2nd floor, from which you can watch Kobe street life. Breakfast costs 800 JPY per person and we preferred to go out, however on the last day due to early departure I had no choice and was not disappointed - amounts of food was ok, variety is great, taste is adjusted to japanese customers.
Even the hotel is probably intended for business travelers, we enjoyed it as well. Absolute cleanliness of the room should be also mentioned. Special thanks to Nagata-san who cleaned our room.
We booked the hotel quite early and paid approx 9000JPY per night for both.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 days, traveling from Kyoto to Nara and then here in Kobe. This is a 10 minute walk from JR Motomachi station. This hotel was a surprise for us because we were expecting a typical Japanese hotel with small cramped room but this is the exception, this one has all the hallmark of a western style room on space. As with all the hotels in Japan we've been to, it has clean and comfortable bed and linens. The hotel is just beside the Chinatown arc so one less place to go sightseeing and just across the Daimaru shopping mall. Staff are helpful and nice and speak English. Wi-fi is free on all floors. Harborland where Mosaic is and also a big mall beside is just a 20 minutes walk. All you can eat breakfast is Y800 but if you don't fancy a big breakfast, Excelsior Cafe or Starbucks is just down the ground floor. In the afternoon from 3 to midnight, they have free drinks on the restaurant and you can even bring your friends for coffee or soft drinks. I would highly recommend this hotel if you're looking one in Kobe.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights. It's near JR Motomachi Station, and only a fifteen-minute walk from Sannomiya Station. If it is raining and you are walking, go down Flower Road and then make a right into the Hondohri Mall - it's a long, covered shopping arcade, and turn left when it ends on to the road where the hotel is. Walk past the very long Motomachi arcade (if you can) and the hotel is the building just after one of the big gates to Chinatown; most of the ground floor is taken up by a coffee shop.

The hotel was nice and clean. Upon check-in, women were offered some amenities such as facial masks or cleansing oil. The bed in the single room was comfortable and generously sized; it was covered with a thin white comforter. The desk had a cellphone charger for models from the major cellphone companies and a mini refrigerator underneath. The shower was excellent and just right to relax the travel weary. The toilet was self-flushing. The A/C worked well. There was a trouser press in the room and a humidifier and hot water maker in the TV cabinet. A simple breakfast buffet was available for 800 yen; the croissants, cheese rolls, chocolate rolls and other bread / pastries were delicious. There was also salad, yogurt, boiled eggs, curry, juice, and coffee. The dining room was pleasant, and in the afternoon, it was a nice place to drop in for a free beverage and read the one English-language magazine from the magazine rack, At least one of the employees spoke English. All in all, Tokyu Bizfort Kobe Motomachi was a great value on weekdays, and still a good value during the more expensive weekend,

We had two rooms - a single and a twin. Both were spacious and comfortable, my single had a very modern shower system, the twin had a tub. Nice view of the city and mountains from the 9th floor. Did not eat breakfast, but enjoyed 'happy hour' with coffee, tea, and other drinks. Staff was very friendly and accommodating, held our bags (we arrived early) until it was time to check in after 3pm. Easy to get on Kobe Loop Bus, which stopped across the street and takes you all around the city with announcements in english if you need them. Loaner umbrellas always a nice touch, as are the yukata sleepwear in the rooms. Would definitely stay here again!
