What can I say ? Amazing location literally in the center, the hotel was clean the staff were friendly. The room it self was a fair size , not huge not small, I advise people to use the buses rather then trains its so much easier and cheaper, you can get a travelcard and its pretty cheap to. Shops everywhere so you can easily get lunch and take it back to the hotel and eat. The only downfall about the hotel is the gym and swimming pool, they do charge which is the first iv ever had at a hotel. Apart from that a really good hotel.

This hotel is right at the JR station! If you are commuting via JR rail or even the Kyoto City Bus, you might want to consider this place. It is pricey, but that's what I expected when booking a hotel right at the station anyway. Plus it's Kyoto... All that aside, the hotel itself is very nice. I felt a bit under dressed what with being a tourist and not someone on business or anything. I believe there is a complimentary newspaper service and since they knew we didn't speak or read much Japanese, the hotel gave us English language newspapers.

This hotel has a perfect location for those using the JR pass. But it also has beautiful, spacious, comfortable, ultra modern rooms, excellent staff (LOVED the concierge!), and easy access to some of the best food in town. Great for families, as it is next to cheap but delicious dining (all that ramen!!!), several stores, great karaoke, nearby temples and transport to other parts of Kyoto. An oasis above the train station, and I loved seeing the trains coming in/out, the Tokyo observation tower, and the awesome light show every night in the courtyard.

Room Tip: A long walk down corridors, but our room made the trek worth it:) Heat wave in Kyoto, so it was nice...

I was apprehensive initially. As a family of four, we could not find a hotel to allow us all to the be the same room in the vicinity. However, booking two rooms was essentially the same price ($225 total per night) and the rooms were immediately next to each other. This allowed a little breathing room for all and having two bathrooms is never a bad thing!. Speaking of the bathrooms, this are small but great! Excellent water pressure, updated toilets, great daily amenities. Our rooms included free breakfast (the value for this would be about $80/day for four people) that was one of the largest buffets I've seen. It was simple to catch the train each day.

Good hotel in the main station so easy to get to. The bus station is just outside to go to all the temples in Kyoto. However, i would next time pick a hotel in the centre of Kyoto and now this one as it just too far out in the south. Rooms and service were all good as anywhere in Japan when you are from Europe and not used to the politeness.
