“Perfect location, best service”
Reviewed 20 December 2012

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and really enjoyed it. Service was perfect, very friendly English speaking staff, ready to help with anything needed. The location was also great, right across the street from the JR station and bus terminal, which made it easy to go to any Kyoto attraction or a day trip to the surrounding areas, like Nara. Under the JR station there is also a mall with plenty of dining options. The room is small, which is very common in Japan, and the only thing I didn't like so much was the bed, which was a little too hard. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody visiting Kyoto.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the way opposite to the JR station, as you can hear a little noise from the tr...

The location is convenient for coming and going to the central station, but the rest of the hotel is like a poor business hotel in some lost corner of the country. Do not use it for vacation.
Nevertheless, the price is quite low, rooms are clean and internet is free. Breakfast is outsourced to an attached fast-food. The hotel has no bar and there are restaurants outside mainly inside of the station building and the departments store. What can I say? Kyoto has more to offer.

i've stayed at this hotel during trip to Japan for a conference.
location was perfect, as I could easily find the hotel upon arriving shinkansen train from Tokyo. The people at reception were very nice and welcoming, check in was very fast.
though in hotel there is no wi-fi, but at the reception you receive special cable, and speed of internet was extremely good.
the location of hotel is close to shopping mall Avantis, from other side of train station there is also also availability to bus stop that you can reach temples, empire palace and castle.
The rooms were very small, but clean and quite, equipped with everything needed (bathrobes, slippers, shower gel, shampoo).
additionally there is a good option for breakfasts and dinners in the restaurant just the same building as hotel (though you have to bring card or cash as you can't just put it on your room account).
in one of the first days, i've lost my phone, the receptionists were very helpful in order to make sure I've find it as soon as possible.
just in case you loose your phone in the taxi (keep the receipts), secondly always take a card from hotel to show to cab driver.

The staff was always cheerful and friendly. My check-in time last for more than 15 min and they apologised for this and gave me a small packet of cosmetic papers (face oil absorbing ones) of a famous kyoto brand (the one with a caricature woman face logo) as a token of thanks for my patience. Very thoughtful indeed.

The room was very clean and well facilitated with everything you need, e.g. blow drier, fridge, shampoo/conditioner/liquid soap, water boiler, TV, slippers, hangers, tooth brush and toothpaste etc. I could see the trains from the window but the room was still quiet most of the time, probably because I had an end room and the sound insulation (wooden window shutter) worked.

Its location is excellent for taking trains and subways but it is a bit far away from the big bus stop in front of the kyoto train station which is huge.

This hotel is very popular with local businessmen and travellers. I have not seen any westerners probably because their website is in Japanese only. But if you know some Chinese characters it is possible to book online in advance which will give a better rate. My room rate is 6,200 yen (tax included) per nite per single room compared with their normal rate of 6,800 yen. Breakfast was not included, though.

Me and my colleague (both are females) stayed for 4 days. The hotel is very close to the station. Ambience is also good. Room service is par excellent. Rooms are spacious enough that easily 2 can accommodate. Washrooms are also very neat and clean with large bath tub. The towels and kiminos are daily changed. There is a facility for both hot and cold water.

This hotel is close to all amenities like phone booth, shopping mall, postoffice, western money transfer, restaurants, subway etc., Mainly bus booking counter to airport is just opposite to this hotel.

With regard to the restaurant downstairs, we could n't get Indian food so we had to go with Garlic bread for 1st day. Later we found Mc.Donalds near by this hotel.

The overall experience is memorable.

This hotel is very convenient to the station and a fair value for what you get. Rooms are a little larger than I expected and normal-sized by Japanese standards, and the bathroom is a common Toto molded style unit. There is a nice buffet in the downstairs restaurant, but it is not included in the room rate.
