Came here for lunch (bit cheaper too) and enjoyed the beautiful setting, friendly staff and delicious food. Started with a cold potato and basil ice cream soup (dollop of ice cream in soup was perfect for a 30C+ day). Had wagyu and some of my gf's kobe. My first time eating this so have no comparison other than some very good British beef. They were delicious. Hard to to achieve the reputation that precedes it but it did just about.
My meal of 5 courses came to around £47. I've spent the same in London for meals of much lower quality, albeit with alcohol, in far less sublime settings.
