We booked an airconditioned room (is there another kind?) at this supposedly "best and most expensive hotel" in the area. So disappointed. Terrible service, dirty carpets, dated décor.
The temperature of the thermostat was set at 25 C and they refused to put on the airconditioning. Additionally they lied. They said that in April/May there was no Airconditioning in Japan!! We subsequently went to Tokyo where we had an airconditioned room They suggested that we keep our windows open. I have traveled the world and never been confronted by a similar situation where a hotel is trying to save money sacrificing the customers most basic comfort.
