Nanzen-ji is not the best temple among all the temples along the Philosopher's Path.
If you have limited time or suffered from 'temple-fatigue' don't spend too much time in there. However, the old aquaduct is certainly worth a visit. Just head straight to the back of the temple complex. There're footpath and stairs leading up to the duct level.
It's a handsome structure!
