**The restaurant moved and isn't where TA says it is. Not even close. The nearest subway station is Karasumaoike. Visit La Jolla's website and consult the map there before going.**

Cannot say enough great things about the restaurant and the service we received. We went to the old location and had to cab over to the new location. The owner paid for our ride!

Now to the food. We started off with margaritas. Great! I had the chicken main course and my boyfriend had the enchilada (daily special menu). All were very tasty and something we'd expect at a much higher priced restaurant.

The decor is SoCal Mexican with a distinct Japanese flare. It's authentic without being hokey.

I will be back the next time I'm in Kyoto. For sure!!

It's easy to walk past the entrance, but look for the Budweiser sign and the cactus. Excellent, Mexican food with the authentic taste that is often hard to find in Japan. Very nice atmosphere and personable staff. Nachos and beef tacos were a nice change of pace after a overloading on temples and Japanese culture. Definitely worth a return visit. As others mentioned, a convenient walk from a metro stop.

We came without a reservation around 8pm and the place was completely full. We took a few Coronas while we waited for a table and were lucky to be able to sit down and order after almost one and a half hour. However the wait was so worth it! Everything was so delicious, and well cooked. We had some grilled meat and it was fantastic and perfectly cooked! The owner and the waitress were so friendly and spoke perfect English which was very helpful! And the restaurant itself was very cool, really had a surf style ! If you been in Japan for a while and need a break from the traditional food, this is the place to go to ! But Don't forget to make a reservation :)

We had dinner in this restaurant and really enjoyed our meal.

The restaurant has recently opened in a new location which is very convenient for the underground. The decor is very pleasant - California / Mexican style.

The food is great. Home made and made to order. The burritos were excellent - packed full of fresh, high quality ingredients. The chicken main was beautifully marinaded and very tasty.

Portion size is large.

All of the dishes coming out of the kitchen looked great.

Service was really good - friendly, English spoken and very helpful.

Our only very small gripe was that service was a little slow and our side came out way before the mains. I guess they maybe finding their feet in a new kitchen. It was not a real problem and the food was great. They were v apologetic and gave us a dessert on the house.

Overall - a really good place to eat some tasty mex-text food in nice surroundings.

What a great place and lovely evening! It's moved to a slightly bigger location though and this is not showing yet on TripAdvisor so enter address to google maps to ensure u find it. Don't normally do reviews but these guys deserve to succeed. Good tasty homemade food, good marguerites and such lovely service. Enjoy!!
