I could not believe that it was just within steps to the train station. The location is also near to the shopping district in Kyoto. The room was small and neat. I will recommend my friends to stay at this hotel.

Rooms were spacious. Front desk was very helpful. Area was central to shops/ restaurants with easy access to transportation. The hotel has a Starbucks attached to it which was packed most of the day. The street runs parallel to a major shopping street that has just about all the shops you’d want to visit.

There's nothing to shout out about this hotel. It has a great location but the rooms are rather old and the bathrooms are extremely small. If you have a kid to travel with and you only need a place to sleep, then its ok to stay here.

Older hotel property shows some wear, but the location is great. First time having an old-fashioned physical room key instead of a key card. Just a few steps from exit 6 of Shijo subway station and a short walk from the elevator exit 4 of Shijo station. Helpful staff was able to communicate easily in English. Wifi is a little slow, free computers for guest use in lobby. 11am check-out time better than 10am at some other hotels. Free bottle of water every day. For a fee of ¥300/bag can have your bags shipped to/from their welcome lounge in the building right next to Kyoto station. Great place to rest peacefully before catching your train or if arriving before check-in. Welcome lounge has free water/tea/coffee/juice and restroom.

We stayed 2 nights in a triple room as part of a package tour. The hotel and room seemed dated, room size with 3 twin beds felt small. The AC didn’t seem to work the first night but was rectified the second night after we informed the front desk. The bathroom was small, didn’t seem to have any fan/ventilation and has a bad musky and moldy odor. We had to leave the bathroom door open to air out the bathroom. The location is very good, right on Shijo Station and about 8mins walk to Nishiki market and Teramachi shopping street. Along the way there is Daimaru and Tokyu Hands. As it is part of a package we couldn’t tell if we are just getting what we paid for. Starbucks onsite.
