Amazing rooms! Good hotel! Not so central

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 21 Nov 2014
Rooms are very new, very modern and very clean. Sound isolation is very good. Bed was very comfy. We slept very good. The only problem is there is not much to do around the hotel. Nearest JR station was 25 minutes walking maybe. Hotel has free shuttle bus to JR osaka station but its every 30minutes. If u miss it you have to wait 30 minutes. On the way back to hotel last shuttle is at 21.40pm so if you return to hotel later, then you have to take a taxi, which is what we did. I think there is subway station which is closer to hotel but we had a JR Pass so we didn't use it. Overall, its a very nice hotel and good value for money. 95 Euros/per room/per night was a very good deal for what they offer! I would definitely stay here again.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for only 1 night during our trip to Japan.

We decided to stay here just because it was a pretty new hotel.

Apparently, it was a good choice. Large room, comfortable bed, good city view and strategist location.

Hotel shuttle bus picked us up from the station to the hotel punctually.

We tried the hotel spa facility in midnight which made our body fresh inside and outside! And, of course, it was free!

The hotel staff spoke English very good and were so kind and polite. They helped us explaining ways to go to tourist spots and restaurant.

We highly recommend to stay here and would probably stay here again for future trip!

This is the perfect hotel.

Never given all 5 stars.
My room on the ladies floor was incredible.
Décor, view, curtains, window opens, women's skincare, hair dryer, lit mirror, scales, air humidifier, air con, air purifier, even TV that is hidden behind historic picture of the area. Lights panel allows comprehensive mood lighting. And has sa proper alarm clock, no pushing buttons.
I had access to the lounge filled with coffee table books in Japanese and English, limited snacks and refreshments and swanky looking coffee machine.

On the same floor luxurious ofuro (Japanese style bath) with a spa on an outside deck.
All this for ¥12000- incredible value.

The breakfast not included, was ¥1100 for a beautiful selection of Japanese foods.
I ate in the restaurant for dinner and also amazing value and not having a salad on the menu the chef offered to put one together. And of course it was excellent too.

I really wanted to move in! But after two nights made my leave, but I'll return. I was a single traveller so the room was a great size, but if you're messy or two people travelling and are larger sized, maybe not large enough toom.

Please if you've time, walk into the city. It's very pleasant walk to Umeda and since I lived here 7 years ago the Umeda area's much more impressive.

Excellent value for money in Osaka and would definitely stay again.

- Spacious and well-appointed room
- Whole hotel looks brand new and very well maintained
- Standard of housekeeping very high
- As other reviewers have mentioned, the hotel is located among office blocks so there isn't a lot to do in the immediate vicinity, particuarly at night. However, access to the subway is easy and you can get a direct train to both Umeda and Namba on the Yotsubashi Line via Higobashi Station (6-8 minutes walk). If you're feeling lazy, Umeda is only about a $10-$12 cab ride away. There is also a free shuttle every 20 minutes to Osaka station and back.
- Free and fast WiFi
- Comfortable, good-sized bed
- Friendly and efficient staff
- My friend stayed in a Superior Room while I stayed in a Standard Room. To be honest, there wasn't a lot of difference between the two types of room - I think the Standard Room is probably better value, particularly if you don't plan to use the Executive Lounge.
- It is clearly stated when you book that some rooms have frosted glass windows which means not much of a view. Mine was one of those rooms. While you still get plenty of natural light and can open the window slightly and look out, it seemed a shame to block out the nice river view.

Overall, very nice hotel and would highly recommend.

Room tip: Higher floor with river view and no frosted glass

We only stayed for 1 night and we only booked here because there was very limited accommodation in Kyoto.
Turned out to be one of the best hotels we have stayed in during our week in Japan. The rooms are a bit on the small side, but it is well laid out and the shower is fantastic. The toilet is even better. There is a Japanese Bath on the top floor which is segregated for Men or women. I really wanted to try it as it looked lovely and relaxing after a long week of sightseeing, however being a westerner I felt a bit too shy, my hang up, I think it would of been fantastic. Only one grumble and that is the pillows are not great. The windows are frosted on the lower floors for privacy. Not a big issue. The hotel also stores your luggage if you arrive early. Very helpful and friendly staff.

Great location, hotel service, free Wi-Fi, comfortable bed (against wall) and fabulous buffet breakfast. Some small issues for travellers to consider...the hotel has small rooms, slight pungent smell in the room, air-con average and you need to live out of a suitcase due to lack of cupboard space. Although this wasn't an issue for our five night stay and we would stay here again.

Room tip: Great location for Osaka shopping and trains.
