First of all I'd like to mention how much I love Osaka. It's an incredible place and highly recommended. Usually stayed at the Cross Hotel, but this time it was fully booked. Got a fantastic last minute deal through Rakuten, we paid less than 20k yen for our huge double room on floor 50. The views were incredible, even better than the Westin in Sendai. Nothing bad to say, bathroom was great, it was a Japanese/Western Hybrid. The bed and TV were fantastic aswell, both huge. Loved Tenno-ji itself, what they did around there is incredible, so many food options, a mall, great connections, just everything! But there are 2 things I did not like; first of all the entrance is incredibly hidden for such a huge place. There are signs in the station...but if you are not in the station itself or if it is closed it is quite tough. And secondly there are only 2 elevators which bring you to level 19 where you have to change elevators. Sometimes had to wait 5 minutes for an elevator, which is too long. Other than that it was perfect. Will gladly stay here again!

Stayed four nights on business in Osaka. Booked a room at the Osaka Marriott Miyako. Hotel is located in the tallest building in Japan, and opened in March, 2014. The hotel entrance is on the street level, but you take an elevator to the 19th floor. The 19th floor bank of elevators opens into a bright, high-ceiling long lobby, lounge and reception space. The hotel service was attentive. I was made to feel welcome, as if I had spent dozens of stays at the property before. I had booked a standard room but was upgraded into a better room and escorted to the Club Lounge on 38th floor, where I checked in. My room was larger than expected, with a very comfortable bed. Floor to ceiling windows provide excellent views. My room had a Nespresso coffee machine. Coffee and tea are at no charge. Room had a 42" flat screen TV. Bathroom had a nicely-stocked amenity kit. Club service was courteous and quiet. The Club atmosphere was subdued, with much wood. Breakfast spread was nice with Japanese and western offerings. Eggs are cooked to order. Evening snacks and drinks are pretty good. I checked out at the club level. English language skills were pretty good for most staff. The hotel is located in the Tennoji section of Osaka, in a shopping district. There is a mall down the street. The hotel is located over a large subway, train station. Transportation to/from Osaka Kansai Airport is easy via Airport bus for 1500 yen, a one hour ride. Buses go on the hour. This is my new Osaka hotel of choice.

Room Tip: Get a room with access to the Concierge Lounge if you can.

We stayed for 2 nights in a room on the 54th floor and the view was amazing - luckily weather was good which helped. The whole ambience of the hotel was first class and it really felt like you were somewhere special - without it being to pretencious or over the top. Furnishings in the room were high class and well designed. Executive lounge was really a fantastic area and has to be seen to be believed, we enjoyed the drinks and food very much in there every day. We also had drinks in the bar plus area and the cocktails were good quality and good service at a reasonable price. The only thing i found a little tiresome was the lifts up to the reception as it was sometimes long queues and overcapacity meaning that when you really wanted to get to your room after a long day sightseeing meant waiting and then cramming into a packed lift. Although once inside your up to your room pretty quickly. Would definately return again if I come to Osaka.

We were unable to get our normal Osaka hotel closer to the center of town, and were extremely surprised to find and enjoy this new hotel. Arriving at the hotel lobby, you were just taken away with the surounding floor to ceiling windows, giving you a view of the entire area. This was especially spectacular when arriving at sunset.

The check-in personnel were a bit challenged, ours didn't speak much English, nor did he know what to do with a Gold member. We had to prompt him a few times. The club personnel were great, seamless and helpful. Indeed the lounge had a great feel, a superb airy space. The rooms were quite comfortable. The only quible I had was the Asian setup, separating the toilet from the rest of the bathroom. It would have been great to have soap and towels in both areas.

Location was great, although difficult for our taxi to find. Next time we would have just told them the station name, or as we ended up doing, going by subway. We look forward to returning soon, indeed my husband is already planning to return for his next trip, bypassing the previous hotels he used to stay at.

One of the nicest hotels I have stayed at. Breathtaking views from wall to wall windows. Service was excellent. Next to Kintetsu Mall with high end shopping. Station is a 100 yards walk. The concierge lounge had the best selection of food which was open 6:30 AM-11:00 PM.

Stayed in Osaka Marriott on trip in April 2014 It is a new hotel right above the train station Keep in mind there are 2 major stations in Osaka One is Osaka Station and the other is where the hotel is located TENNOJOI STATION The area has shopping, dinding etc
The hotel lobby is on the 37th floor and all rooms go up from there to the 57th floor. It offers a beautiful view of Osaka with floor to ceiling windows.
On the 57th floor is the ZK dining area Spectacular views and great service Ask for Emi as a server She is wonderful and has a great personality and will make your evening.
The location, services, upscale luxury makes the Marriott in Osaka a great location for your stay

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the concierge level
