We stayed for three nights and were very comfortable here. The location is excellent as it is very close to the tram, which takes you everywhere you need to go, and also easy walking distance from Dejima and the port. We had booked a double and a single but on check in were given a slightly cheaper rate as we were two adults and one child rather than three adults. The rooms were very small but they had everything we needed and the beds were comfortable. There are several washing machines on the third floor, which are free to use, plus coin-operated driers. The public bath was clean and very good. The women's bath is accessed with a code and was very empty while we were there. The men's bath was more well used but never too busy. Great value hotel.

i must confess that we were not expecting that much after arriving from a really great experience in kagoshima but we were surprised by a) how convenient the hotel was being a 3 min walk from the tram stop - a direct No 1 from the station; b) how large and comfortable our twin room was c) the nice view from the 12th floor of nagasaki's hills; d) the convenience of the location; e) the pleasant onsen and f) excellent service at reception

The main draw of this hotel over its competitors in the area would be the onsen. The reception staff were pretty friendly and helpful with enquiries about local tours and excursions. In terms of location, its proximity to Chinatown means there is good food all around the area. It is also pretty near the Tsuki Machi tram stop.

A bonus is the free freshly cooked ramen every night. Not a feast but would satisfy your tummy after a soak in the onsen, which I did not get to try.

A minus point is the size of the rooms. A room intended for two people is quite a squeeze for two people with full-sized luggages. I was fortunate to get one room to myself, and had quite a comfortable stay.

My husband and I have enjoyed our stay at the Dormy Inn Nagasaki. The room was larger than most Japanese hotels and the twin beds are large and comfortable. The pillows at most hotels in Japan are hard but I am sure reception would have softer pillows if required. Our stay is for two nights. As other reviewers have noted the hotel is quite central to places of interest or easy to access trams. The rooms were very clean and hotel staff very helpful. Breakfast was adequate but not a great selection for international visitors. We did not try the onset but the laundry (free washing and dryer very cheap) was put to use. As we currently live in Japan we also had a car with us and parking was yen1000 per day which is good for any hotel. Overall our stay was comfortable and easy and we would certainly stay again.

Room Tip: We had a twin room and the beds are quite large.

It was our first stay at a Dormy Inn and we loved it. It was clean, with all the amenities provided (toothbrushes, shampoo + conditioner), good sized for Japanese hotel rooms, and friendly staff.

We particularly enjoyed the lounge with the TV where we sat and cooled off with a beer after utilizing their communal bath. The free soup soba was a great touch - available to all guests after 9:30pm.

It's 30 seconds away from Chinatown where we had amazing sara udon (crispy fried noodle with gravy) and pork buns. It's also about 10 minutes walk to the Dejima museum which made it a great centralised location for us.

Great hotel - would definitely stay there again.

We stayed in many Dormy Inn hotels before and love them for their clean rooms, onsen, 24 hour free coffee and free ramen in the evenings. For this particular hotel, the location is just steps away from Chinatown. Breakfast was good as expected. Paid parking available within the hotel for those who drive

you have to take a tram to the hotel. stop at Tsukimachi tram station and walk about 5 min along the canal. you can see Chinatown across the canal..
there are Onsen in the hotel, free ramen from 930 pm to 1230 pm.
rooms are more spacious than other hotels in Japan.

highly recommended
