“Part of atomic bomb walk”
Reviewed 27 December 2012

Visit the church in conjunction with peace park and hypocenter, and watched the damage impacted by the explosion. The church itself is regular and not impressive.

“Moving.”
Reviewed 14 November 2012

This church has been strong through persecution. The rock outside that a martyr sat on while she was forced to perch on it or renounce her faith was quite moving. The church itself is fairly modern.

“Interesting”
Reviewed 26 August 2012

It was interesting to look at the old parts of the church and trying to piece together a picture of what it would have been like before the blast. As for the new building, its okay but I have seen much better around the world.

“The head of the Virgin Mary”
Reviewed 12 May 2012

The head of a wooden statue of the Virgin Mary destroyed in the atomic bomb at the Cathedral is a replica.Original one is at a small chapel just behind of the Cathedral and it often travel around the world.Fortunately I saw it.
Anyway local resident told me that former Cathedral was more magnificent than present rebuilt one.

“History and today”
Reviewed 7 April 2012

We happened to visit just during Service, so could not watch that much - just join for a moment. Statues front of the Cathedral are moving, in combination with the Peace Park.
