I had a two night stay here in March 2012. The rate was incredibly cheap, around 6800 yen per night which included breakfast and wifi in the room. The hotel is just down the road from JR Nagasaki station, and the directions from the website made it an easy walk of about 10 minutes. There is also a tram stop 1 minute from the hotel, which can either whisk you to the Atom bomb museum, or down to the chinatown and wharf areas.

The room was of similar small size that I have become used to in Japan, but it was clean and functional. The breakfast was basic but great to get the day off to a good start.

My only suggestion is to have more maps with english markings, they were in short supply. Other than this I would certainly stay at this hotel again.

Y4900 per night for a hotel in Japan, in the best location of Nagasaki, with free wifi, free breakfast, what more can you ask for? You just can't match this.

Rooms are small, which is to be expected, but very clean, comfortable and with all the basic amenities and then some (fridge, water heater, etc.).

Room Tip: Rooms 4-10 in every floor above the 6th have the best views.

Comfort Nagasaki - is a business hotel that is a good 10-15 minute walk from the JR Nagasaki Station. Typical Comfort Hotel layout and style. The rooms are small and so are the beds by North American standards, with TV (crt style and small), fridge, desk, phone, as for the private bathroom extremely small 3 piece. The water is safe to drink from the tap. A little tight for a couple unless they are very close and you plan to use the room strictly for sleeping. The staff is very helpful and accommodating, though their English may be limited. Check-in: 15:00 Check-out: 10:00.
There is free internet connection in the rooms, and a computer with printer available for use in the main lobby.

The included simple buffet breakfast is acceptable, though it may not necessarily be conducive to everyone. Typical offering would be scrambled eggs or German potatoes, sausage, good assortment of breads including toast, cereal, yogurt, simple salad, rice balls, coffee, tea, orange juice, miso soup and soup of the day.
On weekends the best time for breakfast is at 6:30 as the dining area can become crowded, and during the week after 08:00 by then most of the business will have left. Breakfast Hours: 06:30 - 09:30
As for location in regards to walking to various sites: Nagasaki Dejima Wharf is approx. 20 minutes , Dejima Island Settlement is approx. 20 minutes, and the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum and Memorial Park are a 45 – 60 minute walk away.

Place is close to the Nagasaki JR station, go left outside the station and walk about 10 minutes and then it is on your left site at a big intersection. So pritty good located. Just 1 minute from Dejima. Rooms are just fine, typical business hotel, i think i was the only foreigner. Big plus is the complimentary breakfast with a choice of asian or western breakfast. Plenty to choose from.

Only downside might be the shower. I am not a big guy, even compared to asian standards but i thought the shower was a bit small and narrow, so if you are a big guy you might find it annoying. Other than that the hotel was fine.

The Comfort Hotel chain in Japan is doing a good job, competitively pricing small business-style rooms with everything you need for a simple overnight stay when sightseeing. If you have your own laptop then the internet is free in your room, and you can book easily in English on the web (although don't expect English always to be spoken in the hotel). The rooms are similar to those in the ubiquitous Toyoto chain, but in our experience so far the breakfast tends to be better. This hotel is about 10-15 minutes walk S from the rail station, so good if you have only light luggage, otherwise take a taxi or the tram. The hotel is very close to the port, and not far walking distance to Chinatown and out along the park-lined coastline so we found the location very good. Nagasaki makes a good 1 or 2 night stay. These hotels usually book up well in advance on Saturday nights. For eating, take a map from reception, stroll into Chinatown and choose a restaurant full of people.

Nothing else to add from what is down below except that you don't have to go down the road and round the corner to buy a tram / street car day pass, the hotel reception do these. The hotel is convenient for hopping on and off trams to see the spots in Nagasaki. At the rail station you don't need a taxi to get to the hotel, but note if carrying a heavy bag you do have the steps at the station to the tramway to stagger down, no lift, from ground floor at the station go up a level [lift] and cross over the fly path to the tram stop and stagger down the steps to the tramway having first checked which one to go down.

Breakfast, typical Comfort Hotel in Japan, good choice of food, breakfast rubbing shoulders with Japanese business men probably on courses, mobile technicians and one or two other foreigners. Free WiFi problematic upstairs jumping between floors but solid and sound on the ground floor.

Comfort Hotels are good to give a rest from splurging out on luxury hotels out of town in Japan, where you know that luxury hotels in the towns will be astronomical in cost. Stops the partner nagging about cost...

Eating cross the way in the port area distinct lack of English translation on the menu so your on the pictures, meanwhile back at the railway station the mall has some good restaurants, look out for the Chinese one with an English menu. The Japan Bank [ex postal service] ATM machine that takes non Japan VISA and Master-card is also at the station with a collection of other machines.

Perfect place to stay in Nagasaki.

Ideally situated for the station, tram stop, city centre shops etc. all within a few minutes walk. All other attractions are easily accessible by tram.

Room was compact, very clean and comfortable and a good continental style breakfast was provided. There was coffee and tea available all day in the reception area. All staff were helpful and courteous and had good english.

Ideal place to stay in this city.
