“Yummy-licious... affordable.... generous servings....”
Reviewed 15 August 2013

This restaurants always have long queue during peak hours. However, the day we went...there was only a few customers... (maybe it's a weekday @ 3.30pm++).
We ordered a set of their famous "3-cup chicken" set and a set of tomato fish fillet as well as a glass of flavoured oolong tea. The chicken set came with a bowl of mi-sua (very thin noodles) and side dishes. The chicken meat are very soft and tender... hubby said maybe those are the meat that near the drumsticks area and their soup-based sauce is great. On the other hand, the tomato fish fillet set came with a bowl of rice, a bowl of soup and side dishes as well. The servings of both sets are generous.... for those small eaters.... definitely unable to finish the set alone.
We waited only about less than 10 minutes after ordering the food. Both sets costs less than RM25++ each which is quite reasonable considering the location, servings size and tastes. Will definitely come again and recommend to others.

“Impressions are not real.”
Reviewed 15 May 2013

Lunched a couple of times with different groups but still find the food average. Why do I still go ? Because different friends find the queue as a measure of good food. No reservations - you need to queue. Water is charged as they only have Spritzer. From the way the food is being served, it was not per table as per order to the convenience of the cook. The third order may arrive when the first order is almost done. OK with shared orders but sets ? Can be noisy. By the way , no card. Cash only.Pricey. Quaint presentation but some orders seem to be perpetually not available. They refuse to supply an extra cup, saying 2 cups only for a table of 3. ???

“Eat, Pay, Go”
Reviewed 10 May 2013

Was wondering what the queue was about since it was quite long and many customers waiting to go in. I ordered the set rice and it was alright. Above average food presentation and taste is good enough too. Perhaps price could be slightly lower but then again, rental is not cheap at The Gardens. This is one of the fastest restaurants I’ve seen in clearing plates.
