We stayed at Corona Inn for 4 nights and it is a great hotel to stay at if you're primary motive to visit KL is to tour around the capital. The room price for two ppl can fall between RM100 to RM125 and was very reasonable (inclusive of breakfast). The room we got didn't have a view and unfortunately it was a twin bed room. But the bathroom facilities were good and clean. The breakfast was the same almost everyday but very tasty (and spicy which was a plus point for us) The staff was pleasant and helpful in every way.

The location is quite convenient as it is close to BB Plaza, Sung Gai Wang, Low Yat Plaza and also to Time Square. It's a 15 minute walk away from KLCC towers but we opt to take a taxi which cost us about RM15 one way. It's very close to the Bus Station as well which was very convenient for us as we went to Genting Highlands the very next we arrived to KL.

I would visit this hotel again if we plan to go there and would recommend this hotel to anyone who just wants to use the hotel for resting after a long walk around the city.

Room Tip: If you're a couple, specifically ask for a double room

i used to visit this hotel room through tripadvisor but i can tell u the room they gave me is not so so. the room is dim with the decent and worn out look.. it is dim cos they never change the downlight in the room and the corridor is quiet seem less people came here. The hotel is easy access to all popular eateries and clubees around. of course you cannot ask for more for the amount of money spent. i meant u can get better new looking clean room at other hotels around here.

If you're like me, whom just stayed at Corona Inn for the 1st time. With all the constructions going on at Bukit Bintang, you've probably knew getting there ain't gonna be easy with Google maps slightly off & there's no streetview for some reason. Don't worry it's still there but some parts of the roads ain't where it used to be. Walking there would be easier than driving as some streets are single direction only or not easily accessible.

The good thing about this hotel is the price is pretty affordable and the condition of this hotel is it's really built as a hotel unlike many others which were built as shophouses and later retrofit into a hotel itself. Frontdesk staff are friendly & can speak english well. Our room door was a bit thin which meant sound from the hallway can be heard very well. The bathroom impressed me the most as It's the tub type when all other affordable hotels install showers.

I've booked the standard room online & it clearly states complimentary coffee & tea, but when there's none around I approached their frontdesk & was told that standard room do not have it. Obviously I am disappointed that they failed to include such basic stuff which I find it in print and is included in all the hotels I've stayed before. Please check your T&C again.

Location wise the hotel itself is near the western end of Jalan Alor which is strew with all manners of local & foreign cuisine & delicacies. Which means when night falls you will never go hungry but a word of caution, it's kind of a tourist trap as the prices there are on the high side & you can most probably get a better meal anywhere else even at restaurants in the nearby malls. I was glad I didn't booked the other 3 star hotels within Jalan Alor area as the whole street would be bustling with street performers singing away till the wee hours! So it's quiet enough yet within walking distance to where you wanna be.

Plethora of shopping halls around the vicinity, mostly walking distance. To the east (just to name a few) would be The Pavillion, Sungei Wang & Low Yat Plaza and to the south would be the huge Berjaya Times Square. Tons of shopping & dining so gotta really prepare yourself or spouse for it!

To summarize, it's a good location based hotel (near enough but minus the noise) for those like me who prefer to walk & explore. It's a simple, affordable & accessible (on foot) hotel for anyone whom prefer to go on a free-&-easy trip and would rather spend their money on other things like shopping & food :)

Side note: Play it safe, keep your valuables close. Crime rates are on the high side in the capital so be aware of your surroundings.

Have a good trip, be safe and thanks for reading! :)

Room Tip: Rooms with actual windows are better. Higher floors are quieter.

Not a luxury hotel at all, but the price I paid for a room was also very good. Breakfast (Chinese and wifi included and the staff was friendly and helpful.

The rooms are ok, but you can hear everything and there can be some noise at times,

Would not mind staying there again.

Aircon controls centralised, u cannot adjust to suit yr need. Cleanliness of rooms correct. Often the door does not open with the card provided..though they are quickly looked after. Keeping of luggage while u leave hotel for some other short tours quite expensive..in other hotels these are feree or cost nominally!

Room Tip: Can come again provided the things above are looked into.

We were booked in Corona Inn, Kuala Lumpur during our flay+stay package tour marketed by Malaysia Tourism. The hotel is a decent 3 tier property, very conveniently located in the area known as Bukin Bintang. Surprisingly, hotel has many single rooms, as a result of which, we could not get two adjacent rooms for family. Hotel is well maintained. The restaurant adjacent to lobby offers good ambience as also good spread. A number of shopping malls are within walking distance. Two metro stations too are within walking distance. All in all, a good value for money experience.

Corona Inn is a really basic hotel but it is at a bargain price so you can't complain! there are a few TV channels to keep you amused.
the location is great, right near lots of shops, restaurants and street food. the hotel felt safe as did the area. I'd definitely stay here again.
