Some time back in Feb when Z and i celebrated her birthday with our sassy weekend in KL, we stayed at the wonderful Fraser Place Serviced Apartments. We were choosing between several chain hotels but decided on a serviced apartment instead for a more cosy stay and we were spot on with our choice. Fraser Place Kuala Lumpur has recently been crowned the Tripadvisor's Travelers' Choice® 2012 for being the most trendy and luxurious in its category.

View from the 18th floor Pool at day break
Situated right in the heart of the capital, Fraser Place is conveniently located within the KL's Golden Triangle, which has the highest concentration of renowned shopping, entertainment and commercial facilities. We were situated a mere 5-10minutes walk away from the Suria KLCC mall, Pavilion mall and foodie heaven Bukit Bintang Street.

What really impressed us was the hospitality that greeted us upon arrival. The staff were extremely helpful and made us feel right at home immediately even though we arrived way before our check in time. We were given access to the 18th floor pools and entertainment facilities where we freshened ourselves with a dip in the outdoor infinity pool before heading out for brunch. The gym is also very well equipped with new machines and also a yoga room! There are also 2 game rooms- Xbox Kinnect and Nintendo Wii available for play if one decides to stay in.

Absolutely great way to start our awesome girly weekend!

Heated Indoor pool with Sauna facilities

The apartments were newly furnished contemporary design elements that made for a cosy and chic stay. Firm and springy King size beds that made us feel like princesses with plush pillows and silky bed sheets. The spacious lounge area could be converted into a private dance floor, with the comprehensive home entertainment system to provide music to groove to ( Yea that's what we do in hotel rooms). The floor to ceiling windows let in natural light that brightens up the place, creating the illusion of space (not that it wasn't spacious enough).

Our studio apartment also came with a fully equipped kitchenette, induction cooker, utensils, crockery and cutleries, microwave oven, coffee maker and all! I wanted to cook lunch for Z but obviously she didn't trust me with my cooking skills. :(

Instead, we settled for takeaway tea from Ben's General Store (Read about my review here) and chilled out in the comfort of our lovely room.

Breakfast is served at the ground floor cafe and there's a decent spread of western and local cuisine.

For about 330RM a night, you could enjoy a pleasant stay when you next head over to the cosmopolitan city for a weekend getaway or for business. Bigger apartments and long term stay options are also available.

Will definitely be back the next time i head over. :)

Arrived late in the evening and got off from KLCC station. Finding the hotel wasn't that difficult and a 15-20 min walk if carrying heavy luggage. When checking in, the staff were friendly and very swift in guiding us through the process.

As everyone has already mentioned, the rooms are fantastic and really could not fault them. Only thing I would say is that the breakfast was pretty average but then again, there was nothing wrong with it!

Would recommend staying - have read the other negative reviews and believe they are just one off incidents. For the price, this is not a bad choice considering facilities and location.

The hotel is very nice and comfy. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was so convenient to visit all Main City Attractions like KLCC, Aquarium, Suria Mall, Menara, Pavillion, Bukit Bintang.
The Room was well furnished and clean, kitchenette well equipped with dishes, microwave, tea and coffee facilities. The bathroom was spacious with nice amenities. And Specially for Muslims the bathroom had ablution hose. The infinity swimming pool on the roof was amazing, beside which there was a nice cozy gym and self laundry facilities.

Room Tip: Choose a higher floor to have a nice city view

Fraser Place is highly recommended. A true home away from home.
Our studio was beautifully decorated. Everything is new and beautifully designed in this building and the beds at Fraser are fantastic. Complimentary water, coffee and soda drinks in the kitchen.
Huge closets to store all your clothes, suitcases, shoes etc. Bathroom is large and beautiful with bath and rain shower. Breakfast is tasty at the stylish ground floor restaurant. Good atmosphere. The roof top pool and jacuzzi's with view of KL's skyline are an experience in itself, check out the pictures.

This location is the best in KL as you are at a good neighborhood with vibrant night life.

Service is splendid, concierge accompanied us up to the beautiful marble reception area, at the 2nd floor.
Staff is friendly and out of this world! We had an early checkout to cath our flight home and the receptionist went out of her way to get us coffee, juices and muffins to have in the taxi! Compliments.

We will not hesitate to book again at Fraser Place.

This is a good place to stay,we had a studio room which had a small kitchen. There is a big supermarket down the road at the shopping mall which sells a wide range of food. The concierge staff were friendly and helpful and arranged some trips out for us. The outdoor swimming pool was nice with great views of Kuala Lumpur. If i go back to Malaysia i would stay at Fraser Place.

I stayed there for 2 nights in March 2012.

Location is pretty convenient. Walking distance to Petronas towers and its mall. You can also walk to a couple of monorail stations, even though it might be tiresome if you have heavy luggage. Taxi rides are not expensive though, so you can get a taxi to and from KL Sentral for about 20 ringgits (5 euros). You can also walk to Menara tower and to Bukit Bintang.

The rooms are big and there is a small kitchen and refrigerator. The breakfast was above average and had a touch of local cuisine. The staff was very helpful. They gave good advice on how to go to the Batu Caves. When I asked for a late check-out they could not let me stay until late, because they were full, but they offered me the chance to use the shower room on the 18th floor a few hours after my check-out, which is very useful if you have to catch a long flight after a full day in the humid KL weather. Overall, I would highly recommend it.

This is an amazing hotel! Warm greeting from concierge staff who take your luggage and direct you up to reception on 2nd floor. We had a studio room which was gorgeous! Massive kings sized bed which was very comfy with lovely soft sheets. There is a work desk with lamp, flat screen tv with DVD player, a small sofa and chair with another small table. Bathroom is huge with a glass wall so you an see through to bedroom! There is a blind you can pull down f privacy is needed. Powerful rain shower as well as bath with shower. Location is excellent! 5 minute walk to petronas towers, 5 minutes to monorail station to get you to some of the bigger malls though there are several right by the hotel including the petronas towers. Cannot fault the service here and the hotel is clean and well designed. Breakast is included at on site restaurant, and was very good in our opinion. wifi is free and super fast. There are excellent facilities including pool, sauna, steam room, laundry room, games room and gym. Laundry is 8 ringitts a go and soap powder free. Mac computers located in reception for guest use also! Hotel gives you a letter on heck in explaining most things and they are expanding the hotel but all work finishes no later than 6pm - we never heard anything! Slight negatives but VERY picky ones - elevators are slow so just make sure you allow a minute extra for this :) also make sure your water switch is turned on located on outer wall of bathroom otherwise you will have a chilly shower! Ours was already turned on when we arrived :) for the money you pay this is an amazing hotel and we would definitely stay here again!!
