“Stay for the hotel, not for the views”
Reviewed 23 November 2013

We stayed here for three nights. We booked through Expedia but were upgraded to an apartment instead of the studio I booked originally. The apartment itself was comfortable and very well appointed. Staff was excellent, breakfast was included and was great too (mix of local and continental fare). The rooms are extremely well insulated from the noise etc., and we had some very good nights' sleep. There were some hitches with their internet connection, but when I talked to reception, they sorted it out instantly. They also have a great self-serve laundry room which was useful as we were wrapping up our trip. The only negative is that their pool (which is on the 18th floor) happens to be outdoors and the ruckus from all the aircon units from the neighbouring buildings is so loud you want to run back inside! The hotel is also a stone's throw away from all the main KL attractions. So 5 mins away from the KLCC LRT station - and you can walk to KLCC Suria, Berjaya Times Square and Bukit Bintang all in a matter of minutes.

Hotel is in the KLCC so location wise it is good. I could not be able to connect to the internet. very poor connection. I talked with the reception no outcome. not a good business hotel but a family one. You can stay with your family.

A great Hotel to stay, service was excellent. We got upgraded room that was not expected and also its first time that we stayed beyond 25 floor i. e. Our room is on 26 th floor.
Wow great view from the top.. Hotel don't have number 4 in the lift from 1 to 30 th floor..
Hotel is in great location near Petrona, Pavilion mall.
Check out is so quick.. Gym is very big.. Swimming pool is small.. Overall a great place to stay..

Hotel should have multi cuisine in there menu..

Room Tip: Higher floor is having very nice view..

I arrived quite late one Sunday. This was a business trip and for such travel I look for minimal hassle.....

Fraser Place had lost my booking and despite me showing the e-mail trail it took 25 mins to confirm I had a room - and during this process there was a change of staff although I'm not sure why this was required.....it all looked a bit amateurish.....

On enquiring about food - room service - I am told there is a directory in my room I can use to place an order. However, I then discover the service (provided by local eateries not Fraser Place) had finished apart from a certain US burger chain the products from which I didn't want. So I could not get food delivered.

Also you need cash for this service - they will not charge it to your room. And if you need to retrieve cash from a cashpoint (ATM) to pay for the food be warned - late on a Sunday you may find ALL the cashpoints (I actually went to six in the neighbourhood) are runnng some sort of maintenance procedure so will not give you money.....despite 24 hour ATM services being advertised. I was unable to get any cash until the following day. Obviosuly this is not the fault of Fraser....

I eventually found an eatery - they even gave me the meal gratis until I could pay the following day (they didn't accept credit cards). How wonderful is that?!

To check-in, find some money, and work around the shortcomings of the food service took nearly three hours. I didn't want any of this - just a reliable service so I could get a good night sleep. Whilst not all the responsibility of Fraser - they didn't help at all where they could.

On a more positive tone - the room was large and comfortable - actually an apartment. This I liked.

Also of note - the wifi failed and is still flakey 18 hours later....it shouldn't take that long to fix.

Finally - there are insufficient lifts - you have to wait a long time even though seemingly there aren't many people around.

Conclusion - Fraser Place is not a hotel. It is a set of serviced apartments. The services are incidental to the apartments and clearly not a core part of the offering. So if you want a hotel, don't come here. But if you are willing to fend for yourself and come prepared then the place is probably fine. But even as apartments I get the impression that service would be underwhelming....It is certainly not four stars.

Fraser Place - you can and should do a lot better.

Room Tip: Just ask......oh yes make sure you bring evidence you have of your booking.....

We visited KL and stayed at this hotel for 3 nights with family. The location is great, walking distance from Petronas Twin Tower and other major shopping mall at Bukit Bintang areas. Lovely apartment, fully equipped with kitchenette and spacious. As we arrived early, we did not expect the room would be available for us but the receptionist is very helpful and friendly. We managed to get our room at 11am. Breakfast was good. Agreed with other reviewers about the lift. Overall, it was a great hotel for family holiday.

We where really happy with our stay at Fraser. Room was amazing, big bed, kitchen with all u needed, always nice products for shower. Housekeeping was perfect. A lot of choices at breakfast and some changes everyday make it better when u stay a longer time. Good location, close to bar street , patronas towers and supermarket. A nice 25 min walk to Chinatown. A very nice pool with an amazing view! Staff was always friendly and always give u a smile. Only bad thing I can say is that the elevators are slow but was there on a holiday so no rush.

excellent hotel choice in KL. the hotel is clean and well-maintained with a pleasant smell throughout. the room (i got a 1 bedroom apartment) was really big. fully-furnished kitchenette, big and very comfortable bed, huge bathroom. because it's owned by F&N, apart from water, they also provide drinks in the room (I had 100plus and Sarsi). The kitchenette is fully furnished with all the crockery, cutlery and utensils you need for basic food needs (i did not do any major cooking). the winner for me was the toiletries. they were from peter thomas roth (a winner in itself), but they were customized specially from fraser. they felt even better than the normal peter thomas roth's. i heard that fraser might be considering changing to other brands because peter thomas roth is considered expensive...i certainly hope they do NOT! i actually bought some of the toiletries from them. breakfast selection is not as vast as some other hotels but good enough, tastes good with slight changes daily. the only issue i have with the hotel is that the lifts are painfully slow. overall, highly highly recommended. best hotel i've experienced in KL so far...i've stayed at Traders and Shangrila.
