“Great Location & Service”
Reviewed 28 June 2014 via mobile

We have stayed here many times and are very happy with each stay. The location is ideally located to Monorail, Taxis & Buses. The Hop On Hop Off Bus has a stop at the front of the hotel. Try food at Tang City food court around the corner.

This is the second time we have stayed here. It is a value for money hotel and centrally located. The rooms aren't flash but they are clean and comfortable. Staff are very polite an helpful. The breakfast is very basic, not much of a selection. Located right across the road from the night markets and only a short drive to Atmosphere 360 and Patronise Towers. There is a fantastic restaurant right on the corner of the night markets which is cheap and delicious.

Room Tip: Choose a room higher up to limit street noise.

It was a good hotel, I got a 1 person room. It had everything I needed, bathroom was really clean and good. The place is great, walk out the door, cross the street and you enter Jalan Petaling, Chinatown. Most things are in walking distance or 5 - 10 minutes cab. Great!
The building is really high so you can get a good view over the city. First stay I did had breakfast, don't take that. In front of it you can get great dumplings, so much better!!

This hotel is a nice place to stay it is central to Chinatown area and very close to Pentaling street and the night markets.
The staff at the hotel are well mannered and polite the rooms are clean and tidy not the biggest rooms but still comfortable
Breakfast is ok, the food is tasty enough.
The hotel is walking distance to many attractions and the train station
Make sure you visit the Batu caves while you are in KL.

This Hotel is centrally location with both Putra line ( Pasar Seni station) and Star line (Plaza Rakyat) very convenient. Express bus terminal in Pudu Sentral . Please request a Local map from the front desk.
Hotel staff friendly , room clean , security safe to stay . Hotel location in China Town so request for high floor to cut the noise. Early morning the flea market just opposite of the hotel.
All the local food stalls nearby and you can enjoy dining by the road side.
To airport ( KLIA) took a Putra line to KL Sentral and took a KLIA express Transit .

Room Tip: High floor for better view of China town and cut down noise.

Coming through KL for one night we decided after our stay at Hotel Sentral a few nights before we would try out something in China town. After reading several mixed reviews we thought the 5 elements would be good for us at just over £30/ night and a more central location m. I don't expect much for that price and I often disregard reviews which expect 5 starts for at a budget hotel but this hotel is in need if a deep clean and a touch of paint. We spoke to the staff who were very helpful and showed us 2 other rooms which were in the same state, they ended up getting the cleaners in and tried their best but to be honest my advise is dave your money and stay somewhere like Sentral or like us from now on increase your budget to over £50 and listen to reviews which say dirty or not like the photo. The area itself is good and easy to get around.

We found this to be a decent budget hotel to stay.

To make it simpler, here is the rating scale (on a scale of 5):
1. Location: 5/5.
Centrally Located in the busy Chinatown. A blessing for all the shopping freaks. UTC bus terminal close by. All the big food chains are close by and also great roadside dining options. Easy to find cab to any location in KL. The Twins towers are within a couple of kilometers radius.
2. Rooms: 3.5/5
Clean and neat. We got a room on the 13th floor. Room size was quite good to fit in the 3 of us.
Room offered us a mini refrigerator, electrical kettle and tv. The room had an air conditioning leakage or something which kept the room really cool even after switching the ac off!
3. Room service: 4/5
Quick and responsive.
4. Breakfast: 4/5
Thankfully they served breakfast. Not too many varieties of food offered but filling.
5. Front desk Staff: 2.5/5
Did not find them friendly and informative. You normally expect a better hospitality but that was missing. We had a tough time mining information from the reception desk.

They have a pub which runs till past midnight. The only turn off is they dont have a restaurant. So going out for eating is the only option.

It surely is a value for money stay in this hotel and surely would recommend to others.

Room Tip: rooms on the top floors offer a good view of the city skyline. online booking rates are around 10% l...
