Overall, the hotel is really good value as it is cheap, clean, has A/C, hot water and small but functional ensuites. The staff are really sweet and friendly, although some of them have limited English skills (not an issue for us). The location is great for Chinatown, not so great if you're after the bars near Bukit Bintang.
Downsides are small, basic rooms, lack of natural light, firm beds (good if you sleep on your back, not good if you sleep on your side) and small ensuites.
Our stay: First night had room 5 (good size) but next to reception. I slept well, but my fiance couldn't sleep due to the noise from reception despite earplugs (loud talking by guests, telephones etc). The staff were very understanding and apologetic, and we were able to switch to the smaller but quieter room 8. From then on we slept fine.More
