“Stylish oasis in the middle of the city.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 August 2014

Amazing decor - quite indonesian - teak, concrete and minimalistic. Fabulous jacuzzis in the enormous bathrooms. Fantastic breakfast with amazing choice and delicious homemade pineapple jam. Rooms may seem expensive but I thought it was good value for the luxury accommodation it presented. We were picked up and taken to KL IA which was a good 50 min journey and the rate included complimentary cocktails and breakfast. The manager was very helpful. Can see and walk to Petronas towers from the hotel. Situated in very pleasant residential area where all the embassies are.

Room Tip: Get one of the rooms on the ground floor which opens on to the pool.

A boutique hotel located in the centre of Kuala Lumpur, this place is truly wonderful. It has large bedrooms and unbelievable bathroom with a shower comprising of two raindrop shower heads and able to easily accommodate five people if you had the inclination. The staff were very helpful and the laundry taken every day from the clothes bin and sent back the same day clean and ironed (if needed) free of charge. A great place to stay that offers reasonable rates for great facilities.

Room Tip: Try and get a room on the top level.

This place is an oasis in the city center of Kuala Lumpur. The room are fantastic and the design is very unusual, our room had an indoor spa with a gigantic aquarium in the center. There is a roof top bar with a nice view over the skyline. There is walking distance to PETRONAS towers. A great plus is the transport service to the airport. we had a ride in an old luxury Mercedes on our departure. Fun.

A great plus is the flexible hours for breakfast. Nice pool area also.

Room Tip: Get a reservation in good time before arrival

Excellent staff. Excellent breakfast. Comfortable rooms and bathrooms.
Great roof-top bar, perfect for a few drinks before dinner.
Pool was lovely-gutted we only spent a day chilling round the pool.

If you want a cab into town, although it's not far, ensure you order it a good few hours in advance as it gets busy in the evenings. We didn't and were held up by 30mins.

In the middle of Kuala Lumpur, who would have thought!

2nd visit as good if not better as the first one a Year ago!

Perfect for that 3-4 day get away from Singapore, excellent accommodation, one if the best Beds one can sleep in. If the Missus needs her retail therapy, they provide a car to the nearby KLICC, or known as the famous twin towers!

Excellent service throughout!

The hotel was recommended to us by the company which put together our trip and it certainly did not disappoint. Our only regret was that we stayed for just two nights and wish we could have had longer to appreciate the lovely peaceful surroundings. All the staff are friendly and helpful and make you feel welcome straight away. The rooms are beautifully designed and furnished. The rooftop bar is a wonderful place to unwind at the start of the evening before eating in the excellent restaurant (the hotel also arranges free transport to the city and certain restaurants). Breakfast was very good indeed with plenty of choice. The pool is superb and a great place to relax if not out sight seeing. This is a little quiet oasis but close to the hustle and bustle of the city (we walked to the Petronas towers easily). It is so much nicer to stay in a boutique hotel such as this rather than a big modern hotel chain. Do stay here - you will be glad you did!

This hotel is a beautiful and relaxed place minutes from KLCC. Our room was awesome, very clean, a good size and the bathroom was lovely. We had a secluded balcony which had a lovely hot tub which was a real luxury. The pool and pool area were also lovely and very quiet. You would never know you were so close to the city centre. We walked to the Petronas Towers and centre - approx. a 15 min walk.
We had dinner at the hotel which was really good and the service from the staff was all first class. Breakfast was great, loved the smoothie and we loved the warm bread and fresh fruit.
We also enjoyed a cocktail in the evening and the bar area has a lovely view over the pool area. Its a very romantic place and we would recommend it to anyone as it is so nice!

Room Tip: worth getting a hot tub - it was fab!

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Best described as Kuala Lumpur's ultimate treat to nest in. This ravishing villa-in-a-room boutique hotel is one-of-a-kind in the capital city. Tucked within an upscale locale just 10 minutes drive from town, Villa Samadhi becomes an immediately accessible respite to restore soul into one’s exhausted self. Its collection of 21 contemporary Asian-inspired rooms, with each spanning from 600 square-foot to over 2000 square-feet of living spaces are accented with a collage of elements to create a raw yet sophisticated Asian dwelling. Discreetly recede from street view, the most distinguishing feature of Villa Samadhi is the massive, soaring grass thatched-roof that shouts 'Malaysia'. But most eye-catching is the mysterious-looking multi-layered thatched roof structure of the rooftop bar-lounge ‘Bumbung’ which is floating above all else. Open the bamboo-clad gate and the surprise is over, a facade in absolute russet harmony. ... more   less
