“alright stay, wouldn't stay again.”
Reviewed 24 August 2013 via mobile

Although somewhat charming, perfect location and good on a budget I wouldn't stay here again. We got given a room which was extremely basic with no window and very small, recently painted and smelt very strongly. I found a bed bug on our second night in the bed which put me off and there was a rat running around which made an appearance from time to time in the communal area. Although friendly I wouldn't recommend staying here purely because of the lack of cleanliness of the place. Came as a backpacker with my boyfriend.

Positives
Good value for money
Great location close to everything you would need transport bus station close by and also local trains,
Bathrooms clean
Staff friendly
Negatives
Hard to find but look for KFC on Kasturi Walk it is next to it then read instructions on building entrance is at rear
Female bathroom showers were an issue one wasn't working and the other had no shower head so just a hose really and no hot water ( that could also have been I didn't know how to turn it on)
No toilet paper so make sure you bring tissues.
We had a front room and it was a bit noisy but nothing too bad if you like Bollywood music

All in all taking into consideration that they ar dint eh middle of renovations it was not a bad stay. Wild return to see how they all turn our.

Room Tip: If you are a light sleeper avoid the front rooms

I been stayed here for the 3rd times... What I love here, very quiet, not really favourite of traveler (i guess, because I always alone in the dorm).. Near to Pasar Seni LRT station, 3 minutes walk... Next to the Central Market, KFC just behind, McDonal 5minutes walking, Chination 5 minutes walking, 7-11 4minutes walking..... and just next to my office building... :) the tips is, try to book through Agoda, it is really cheap rather and phone booking or walk-in...

The place is sober and essential, no fancy stuff. Some rooms are with no windows but are very quite. The rooms with window are bigger and more noisy. Everything is extremely clean, the place itself is funny and the owner really gentle and helpful. Is is ideal for a low budget journey. Stuck in the very center of the town, easy to reach, always open. A simple but tasty breakfast is provided in case you wake up before 10.

I wouldn't stay here for a week or month but I passed through for the Jlo concert and this place rocked! The owner is a really nice guy. Helpful and kind! It's located near a starbucks which made my day and a quick train ride to the twin towers, pavilion mall and so on. The room was clean and decent, scariest bunk bed of my life but I didn't fall through! Haha. My only bad experiences were annoying roomates and that's not the hostels fault haha. Bathrooms are ok although the toilets are the same stall as the shower which results in a wet toilet all day... Haha. Honestly though for 10$ a night I would definitely stay here again when passing through KL.

Palmmers guest house was really nice! Our room had windows to the roof so there was hardly any noise wich was nice. The joined showers were pretty good, hot water most of the time!
Only negative thing was that it was really hard to find the guest house, the taxi driver didn't know were the street was, so look the place up from a map yourself beforehand :)

Room Tip: Ask for a room with windows to the roof and not to the street, so you'll have some peace at nigh...

Terrific locoation (right next to the famous "Central Market");
heart-warming staff and im talking way beyond a nice smile in the morning;
good prices (cost/performance ratio is outstanding and if not, the staff is open for granting discount);
free breakfast for everyone;
a variety of rooms: fine remote-controlled-aircon dormatories with a little privacy (4 beds per room), as well single, double and family rooms;
a citchen with free water supply, a fridge to store your own food, a couple of seating areas with couches and TVs (nothing really big but very snugly), loundry service and of course bathrooms with hot water;
and last but not least, free Internet as well WIFI;

In conclusion, a good looking and well located, comorftable GH with the price/performance ratio to satisfy traveller and budget traveller as well.

Thank you Palmmers
