“A little disappointing”
Reviewed 3 August 2014

We stayed here at the end of June, we had a family suite which had 2 very large bedrooms & a sitting room, so was really spacious. Sadly it wasn't well maintained & there were large pieces of wallpaper peeling from the walls, despite this the rooms were very clean. The location was great for walking to the monorail & into the shopping district & we had a great time exploring the 'golden triangle'. We had a few drinks in the bar one night which my husband signed a reciept for to be billed to our room, however a few minutes after returning to our room we were telephoned to say we hadn't paid for them, this was 12.45 at night, then someone came to our room & asked us to pay, we re-iterated it was to be billed to our room (the bill was approx $30), then we received another phone call asking us to come to reception to pay (by now it was 1.15am!) We spoke to the manger the next morning who was extremely apologetic, but it did mar opinion of the hotel. Also don't expect the view shown on the website, we looked out on a busy street & the wall of the next door building!

The hotel is in the center of bukit bintag, walking distance to everything, our room was even overlooking the Petronas towers. Food great, cleanliness superb. Family rooms have two rooms, two bathrooms and a living room, so perfect.

Located in the bukit bintang shopping area and in close proximity to malls like Berjaya Times Square and Pavillion, this hotel is brimming with energy and is ideal for families.Food is good and rooms are well appointed. There is hardly any drawback and I urge those visiting KL for shopping to stay here.It is neat, minimalist and clutter free, just the way I like my hotels and the staff is always eager to assist.From.what I observed, it is a busy hotel and not without reason.

We have stayed at the Furama Bukit Bintang for a week from the 17th to the 24th of July 2014 as a part of a Rhythmic Gymnastics competition from Australia. We have booked a Family Suite and shared it between 2 adults and 2 children. The rooms were big and very comfortable with comfortable beds. The bathrooms were huge and very clean. Hotel breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices and the hotel service was extremely friendly and everyone was very helpful. Special thank you to one of the staff members, Amit, for his very friendly and helpful service. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and would love to come back for another stay. We highly recommend this hotel as a great place to stay. Natalia Ousova

Room Tip: Family Suite was very specious and clean.

We had excellent experience with Furama where we stayed between July 4th and July 7th '2014.

As soon as we reached the hotel, the concierge was quick to come and collect the luggage. There was a bit of queue at the check-in counter but that was fine. We were addressed by a beautiful lady called Soon. She looked at her records and asked whether we (I and my wife) have asked for twin beds. We said 'no, we've asked for a king size bed'. She immediately upgraded us to the executive suite.

The room was spacious, a separate seating area, study table, wardrobe, et al.

The refrigerator wasn't stocked though probably since it was Ramazan time.

As soon as we checked-in (around 4pm), we decided not to lose the day and to go visit Batu Caves. We checked at the concierge counter about how to go to Batu Caves and Anwer asked us to go the next day as we'll not enjoy the place since by the time we'll reach there, it'll start getting dark. We took his advice and decided to go to The Petronas Towers instead. For that too he guided us that we'll not be able to get entry to the towers as it usually gets book in advance and they let in only 960 people in a day; but we must go during dusk as that's the best time to enjoy view from the top. He provided us with the KL map and pointed out the way to go to The Twin Towers and his directions were perfect. Next day too he arranged for a cab to take us to Batu Caves, wait there for a couple of hours and bring us back. He was extremely helpful.

The hotel is right next to Berjaya Times Square, a huge shopping mall and entertainment center. A li'l walk ahead, you are in Bukit Bintang loaded with shopping and eating options. The walk to Petronas Towers from the hotel is around 3 kms but you enjoy it a lot was the entire stretch is filled with eateries, restaurants and shopping malls.

Right outside the hotel you have quite a few places for cheap dining - restaurants and street food.

On the day of checkout, we had a late evening flight, so we decided to explore the Bukit Bintang area a bit more and requested the hotel to hold our luggage with them once we check out. Of course they obliged but were a li'l hesitant in holding on to my laptop bag. But upon insistence, they agreed and it helped me a lot as I did not want to carry my laptop while shopping :)

The best point for the last - On our 2nd day, we had our stuff spread all around the room and we did not want anyone to come in for cleaning the room. So, we left the 'do not disturb' sign on and left the hotel. We returned around 9pm in the evening and had someone knocking at the door within 10 mins. When we opened, we saw one of the hotel guys with a security personnel standing outside. They were there to check on us since the 'do not disturb' sign was on the entire day. We liked the fact that they came with a security guy and not just the hotel staff to check on the occupants.

Overall, we had a very pleasant stay with the hotel and we'll definitely return if we were to visit KL again. Highly recommended.

Located quite close to Berjaya Times Square (about 8mins walk away). There's a monorail station in front of Times Square which allows to travel easily within the city.

The hotel is quite new, room was clean, spacious and comfortable.

Breakfast was good and there was a lot of variety to food to choose from (continental, Malay, Indian and Chinese).

this is our first stay in executive suit room with special and pampered treatment from the special trained executive staff, especially in Executive Lounge. We are truly enjoy the breakfast, all day drink and evening cocktails. It brings satisfaction to our mind (quiet), soul (peace) and stomach (taste of food). One word we can say..."we shall surely be back.." Many thanks to all staff making our stay so pleasant and memorable.

Room Tip: Highly recommended executive suit room.
