Just loved the tour. Best bits were the food. Going to local spots. Advice on the food. Eating with your hands. Fab. The Heritage bit , I am not so sure about, it's sad that there really is none other than some burnt out buildings. My advice. Go to get off the beaten track. See some fab temples and experience Sean's enthusiasm. But don't expect massive history.

Many comments from previous reviewers made it seem like we were on the wrong walk! Do not come hungry - the food is not that plentiful and there is a LONG time between stops! While they say "if you want more just ask", you are with a group of people and do not want to be the one holding things up (or looking like a pig:)). Our tour lasted until after 8, and most of those FIVE hours were spent listening to Sean talk. We visited two places of worship and the other we just stood next to a gross city "river" and listened to him talk about it. You could eat at the Central Market and Chinatown and visit the temples in those same areas and get the same experience, with a lot less talking. We were very disappointed, and this was not worth anywhere near the $50 each that we spent.

Dear Valued Guest :
Greetings from Be Tourist team . I personally would like to thanks for your thoughtful mind to alert us the enjoyment of everyone who join the walking tour have different expectation .

Your feedback is very important to us ,that too much sharing of informations will make the walk not interesting unless the tourist guide personally must be attentive and very good communication skill to handle everyone needs. Which mean it should not a group has to be tailor made to individual .

The overtime is not a good thing too. As the heat of the weather and most of the travellers have different planning with limited time so will make people couldn't enjoy with the flow as rushing to another plan .

The team will take note in the future to make others travelers to understand the duration of time might not end on time. Also is good to remind that do not enjoy listening of informations or only like short commentary then we need to put into different group .
Currently we have only 12 pax as maximum so in the future have to look on provide private tour .
We need to have more guides are competence but the challenge is not everyone can be a walking guide . Usually take a year to be competence .

The food part as the concept of this walk is to bring you into local taste on the particular area. So if value with price just base on the food i guess of cause by doing yourself is cheaper .

I would like to apology that Sean's have make the statement that you feel funny and i hope not offensive. Sometimes being not a native language as English the choice of words are challenging .
The team will definitely be sensitive and careful with the sentence.

Once again terima kasih ( Receiving your love ) means thank you in Malaysia National Language . To helps us to sustain the walk . Also your money is supporting the HOPE foundation . Historic , Original, Preservation and Education .

The problem with being the number one rated attraction on trip advisor is that people come with HUGE expectations about how good this will be. I did the Eat Pray Love walking tour, and it was really good, but certainly not perfect, and a number of others in the group seemed disappointed, which I also think was related to high expectations.

Eat: the food at each of the three stops was amazing!! They are not kidding when they tell you to come hungry - we basically had 3 meals. Highlights included the "roti tissue" (sweetly delicious) and condensed milk tea at stop 1; spicy indian noodles at stop 2; and chinese clay pot chicken at stop 3. We also tried a variety of fruits along the way.

Pray: this tour visits places of worship of 3 of Malaysia's 4 main religions (Christianity and churches are ignored). All are interesting to see, and people at each were quite accommodating of a bunch of tourists with cameras observing them.

Love: the guide says this part of the tour is up to you, but really I think a lot of this comes down to who your guide is. Many here have raved about Yuki. We had Sean, who was lovely, but perhaps has a bit to learn. His passion for the heritage of KL's early twentieth century buildings came through loud and clear - perhaps overly so. His passion for the Chinese temple was also evident, leading to us spending a bit too much time there. However his knowledge of Islam was limited, and we did not actually get to go into the mosque. He was generally a bit too verbose in his commentary, which is one of the reasons the tour took so long. It could have easily been cut to fit the four hours stated.

Which brings me to the biggest negative: the tour was from 3pm-7pm but it did not finish until well after 8pm. This led to a number of people leaving the tour early - some because I think they were bored, but others simply because they had other plans. This meant they missed out on one of the key sites and nearly half of the food, even though they had paid for it.

The tour is $50US which is a lot for KL, and probably slightly more than what you get for the money. But the company is genuinely interested in providing some depth of KL history and culture for tourists, which does seem thin on the ground, so it felt like something good to support for the future.

Online booking didn't work, but I was able to prebook and pay via a series of emails. The high rating here is making this very popular, leading to a tour group that was probably a little larger than ideal - it would be nice if they could consider having two groups/two guides in a situation like that.

Dear Valued Guest :
Being a tourist guide especially for a period the common mistakes will make is over confidence of his knowledge .
Sometimes passion of an individual will lead to less attentiveness. As over enjoying by him or herself .

I am very grateful that thoughtful traveler to show the concern and help us on sustainable .

The team will keep the good job and improve on the duration . From 1 st July 2014 new era of this walk let's do more focus and keep the time . We will break into AM highlights and PM highlights .
So that each walk will have different experience and learning process.

Currently we did not included churches as the focus on the PRAY is more on highlight the heritage and influences of the early settlements in Malaysia before the Federal Malay states .

When next time we have more manpowers the I love Malaysia Heritage walk will highlight the historical church St Mary Cathedral. Also in the future when you return back follows us on the 1st Federal Malay state British settlement in Taiping will bring you to the National Heritage building -
All Saints Church .

Not forget to join our Malacca Heritage will highlight the oldest living church in the region Christ church .

We will take note also be more careful to spell out the concept well . Thanks for your support . Without you the HOPE foundation will not exist to sustain our Historic , Original , Preservation and Education .

Ribuan terima kasih . Million thanks

Yuki, our guide was knowledgeable. She was fun and caring.
I loved the Eat Love and Pray Tour. It showed us the highlights of old KL . Temples, Buildings, streets, markets and its historical significance. We covered a lot of places and were given time to explore. The food outlets where we were taken served delicious food items. They were places only a local would know. I hardly noticed the 4 hours go by. It was hot and dusty so be in comfortable cooling clothes and footwear. It was a wonderful unforgettable experience.
