“Excellen Location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 January 2014

We had a room with a double aspect, over the park and over the Petronas Towers. WOW! It is a very good base when in KL as there is a mall right nest door with everything you need shopping wise, also restaurants. They have good restaurants in the hotel too. The access to the metro is easy, so therefore to all the other areas of the city. Our room was comfortable and elegant but best of all were the views it offered. Staff were helpful and always on hand to advise. Would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for park views but actually think that most views are probably good.

The hotel was at an incredibly convenient for seeing the city and enjoying New Years. It was bustling with people and felt quite lively. The service was excellent and people always made you feel welcomed.

They were really great about everything and even upgraded us. The club level was amazing as they do free laundry and provide free food/drinks. I thought it was one of the best five-star city hotels I've ever stayed in.

Location:
Mandarin Oriental is centrally located so you can walk to the Aquarium and the Shopping malls in Bukit Bitang. Of course next doors is the KLCC mall and the Petronas towers. Multiple restaurangs and bars in the hotel can keep you occupied for a couple of evenings if you do not feel like walking anywhere far. You have several skybars in the buildings next to Mandarin Oriental so you can go barhopping in the sky.

Rooms
Rooms are clean and have the largest safe I have seen in a hotel room. Great showers and a good bathtub, staff keeps everything in top top shape. Each day we found our toiletries organized on small towels accordingly to purpose.

Rooms come with a selection of fruit and complimentary water.

Food:
Breakfast was one of the most varied ones I have seen with Japanese, Chinese, Indian and western sections and freshly pressed juice and smoothies.

Services:
Pool, Gym and Yoga rooms are well equipped and for those that are not so at home in a gym will get support from the knowleadgeable trainers.

Internet:
Costs - this is the bad thing - today coffe places and cheaper hotels can provide guests with free wifi but not in more upscale hotels. Some of the 5 and 4 star hotels have started to provide guests with free wifi but not mandarin!

Thank you for sharing your experience on TripAdvisor and we appreciate your positive observations on the hotel’s facilities.

We stay regularly at Mandarin and the service never fails to impress. Most importantly, the kids are happy cos there's so much to do around KLCC. They recently built in an indoor golf area and its fantastic. A great hotel not just for business travellers but for families as well!

This couldn't get any closer to the center of the city. It's easily accessible to the airport by public transportation. It's close to most of the major sites in the city (and those that aren't close you can easily get to by the subway/tram system). It's close to many excellent night markets for food. And it's oh so luxurious. We stayed here on our honeymooon. Worth every penny. The infinity pool overlooking the fountains at night is magical.

I was given a room on a high floor with a great view of klcc park. The room had everything I could think of. Everything works unlike some other hotel where I'd been. The toiletries were first class stuff. Even the tea & coffee making facilities are beyond anything I'd ever seen. Had a bath, went out for dinner & when I came back, all the wet towels were replaced with clean dry ones. Gosh! Although it's an expensive 6 star hotel, it's really worth your money. They even have a DVD player in the room, so if you want to watch your own movies, bring your own DVD movies. Otherwise their cable tv is available for free. Definitely will come back again.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor with a good view. But then the room is so good, who needs a view anyway? Lots t...

This is a must if visiting KL, we booked a club room and the. Facilities were amazing, breakfast, lunch afternoon tea, evening alcoholic drinks again with food!!!!! Five pieces of laundry cleaned per day, which was great for us as we had been travelling for 25 days...... The staff were amazing very nothing too much trouble. Lovely clean linen and soooo soft beds. They have a great choice of restaurants in the hotel so just in case there is a bit of rain you don't have to venture out, that is if you can find any more room after all the treats on the club floor. Lounge!

Even the pool guys looked after us bringing us ice cold drinks so we didn't have to move! This has too have another revisit!

Room Tip: For all the extras you get as mentioned above , a club floor room is well worth it!
