It is really good hotel, nice service, I received really warm welcome and will for sure chose same hotel for my next stay in KL. I enjoyed variety of available dishes for breakfast and dinner. MO in KL is on a convenient location near KLCC shopping centre (not cheapest) and near Petronas towers. I found hotel stuff really nice and friendly and that is one of the reasons I will for sure come back on next business trip. Hotel rooms are nice.

Room Tip: Rooms looking to a park behind the hotel have a great view!

My sister and I flew out to KL and stayed here for a week! During our stay we celebrated a birthday and some uni results! The guest relations staff - Lily and her co-workers could not have been more helpful! The hotel is fab, very clean, very trendy and well recommended! My sister and I also had spa treatments, a must if you stay here!!!
Thank you!

After a stay in the Marina Bay Oriental, we booked a short stay in KL Mandarin Oriental. What a bad experience! Rooms needs to be refurbished, service level is the worst I ever had in a five star hotel. Rollaway bed for kid: can't sleep on it!
Taxi? No free to choose (blue taxi's) and 50% more expensive then 'normal' when metered. Why is that? Currency exchange: don't ask or do. Fee is at least 15-20%. Internet? To pay! Five Star? Not even near! We are traveling frequently and always are staying in 4-5 star hotels, and never had such a bad experience.

Dear VvdV

I truly regret to note of your less than satisfactory stay with us and my sincere apologies for the negative impression reflected on this occasion. Kindly rest assured that our management team will address the areas for improvement.

I would like to share that our hotel does not promote the use of public taxis and has a fleet of blue quality taxis based at the hotel to provide safe efficient service to our guests. It is also a norm for the hotels in the city to impose a very minimal service charge for the currency exchange service. Concerning the provision of complimentary WiFi service, I would like to share that due to the high costs of quality bandwidth in Kuala Lumpur, most hotels charges for WiFi accordingly. Guests who choose to stay on our Club Floors do receive complimentary internet access. On this note, our hotel provides by far, the highest level of bandwidth in the city and once logged in, you may use up to 6 devices on your account. Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has recently launched an initiative in regard to WiFi costs whereby all bookings made via our website are inclusive of free WiFi for all the various packages available on our website.

In addition, we have commenced our guestroom renovation project which will progress until 2016 for a full completion and look forward to welcome you back to enjoy our new rooms which will start coming on-line by mid 2015. We will also review new rollaway beds in the process.

My team and I look forward to your return for a much more memorable stay the next time.

Kind regards

Nice hotel especially when you first walk in, staff are excellent and are very courteous. Booked here especially for the pool but a very expensive hotel. I found it a bit old fashioned in the room and a bit small but for 2 adults it's fine. 3 pieces of fruit left in the room every day and plenty of water. Breakfast was ok plenty of it but it was put out so early that it looked stale especially the curries that had a skin on them due to being out so early. It is a very business hotel as you could see at breakfast it was mostly business men seated at the tables.
We had a room on a very high floor facing the Petronas Towers which was wonderful especially at night.
The only major problem we had was been given a small rollaway bed for my 16 yr old son with a duvet and inside it was a tiny child's blanket. They could at least provide a single duvet but they did rectify the problem straight away but said that was the standard duvet given.

Room Tip: High floor facing towers

Great location, good rooms and perfect service.

It was our honeymoon and we got an upgrade and the decorated the room with flowers and we received a complimentary bottle of champagne (Moet) which was great. Service level was great! The reception, the desk, at the pool, people were very friendly and helpful.

Only real comment is that you have to pay extra for Wifi. It is 2014 and a 5 star hotel so that was a negative surprise.
