“Wonderful hotel with top service”
Reviewed 29 July 2014

We stayed in MO KL for 3 nights in July 2014. Our stay was outstanding - from beginning to its end. Check-in very smooth with welcome drink. We were escorted to our room wich was a wonderful corner-room on the 20th floor. Room and bathroom didn't seem to be outdated at all. It was very comfortable and clean.

Breakfast ist very good with a wast varity of food to choose from. And all the items on the buffet were of very good quality. This gave us a great morning's start.

Pool area including the restaurant by the pool are very nice. Service there was very friendly and welcoming. One remark: The drinking water you get by the pool seems to be tap-water and has a slightly odd taste. Maybe MO KL checks this.

The chinese restaurant on the 1st floor is top top. Service at it's best and very welcoming. We had a great dinner there and enjoyed it very much. We visited also the MO Bar and the Lobby lounge. Both with very good service and jummy drinks.

Overall we had a fantastic stay and will definitely return to the MO KL on our next visit to KL: Highly recommended. And the location next to KLCC is top.

Dear Urs R

Thank you for your awesome review on our hotel’s luxurious hospitality.

It’s wonderful to know that you had an outstanding stay with us and enjoyed our F&B outlets, in particular Mosaic, Lai Po Heen, Cascade, MO Bar and Lounge On The Park during your stay with us. Your positive feedback on our staff service will certainly motivate them to the highest level.

Concerning the drinking water at our pool side, rest assured that we have regular checks to ensure the water quality.

I greatly appreciate your kind recommendation of our hotel to other TripAdvisor travelers and look forward to the pleasure of welcoming you back to the hotel when your travels bring you to Kuala Lumpur.

Kind regards

As usual, the mandarin hotel never let me down .. good service and we love the rooms..
But one thing for sure, the internet charges is expensive and even no free wifi at lobby or restaurant.
The pool is nice and have a good quality foods too..
Btw i like the bed so much... makes me sleeping good!

Dear uthinx

Thank you for your kind review and I am delighted you enjoyed your stay with us.

Concerning the provision of complimentary WiFi service, I would like to share that due to the high costs of quality bandwidth in Kuala Lumpur, most hotels charges for WiFi accordingly. Guests who choose to stay on our Club Floors do receive complimentary internet access. On this note, our hotel provides by far, the highest level of bandwidth in the city and once logged in, you may use up to 6 devices on your account. Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has recently launched an initiative in regard to WiFi costs whereby all bookings made via our website are inclusive of free WiFi for all the various packages available on our website.

My team and I look forward to your return for another enjoyable stay in the near future.

Kind regards

Great hotel at the heart of KLCC. Best in class hospitality, one of the best breakfast buffet I have ever seen, nice pool and good food at the pool restaurant. The gym is huge and very well equipped also! Strongly suggested both for business and leisure trips! Great value for money!

We always try to fit in a stay in the Mandarin Oriental on our travels in Asia, and we have never been disappointed in the rooms, service, friendliness of staff, etc. etc. In the last years we have been going to the Mokul twice a year. I felt the need to get away from everything, on my own and decided to visit the Mokul once again and to experience the feeling of caring staff and being utterly spoiled. Even though I had booked for only three nights, I felt wonderful again on my way home. As I had booked only a standard room, I was upgraded to a Park View room. Upon arrival I was greeted very warmly like an old friend and a lovely surprise was waiting for me in my room in the form of delicious chocolates and a bottle of wine. My room was lovely, very spacious, plenty of water bottles, toiletries, towels etc. etc.
Breakfast is out of this world, every cuisine catered for. The first morning I asked for a banana and every morning thereafter I was given bananas, without having to ask for them. My only problem at breakfast is that I tend to overeat, as the food is really delicious (my favourite is the salmon teriyaki).
The gym is great, for a hotel gym very well equipped, large, plenty of treadmills, cross trainers, weight machines and free weights.
The swimming pool area is extremely comfortable, one could spend a whole day there relaxing.

As mentioned in all other reviews, the location of the hotel is outstanding, between the Suria KLCC which is just opposite and the Pavillion, shopping galore. The undercover walkway to the Pavillion is excellent, about 10 minute walk, shorter if you are a fast walker like I am.

A very special thank you to Tanya Kawood and Patrick (Mosaic manager) for looking after me. Very impressive service. I can't wait to come back, perhaps in February or otherwise next June.
Thank you Mokul, you really excelled yourself, we won't ever dream of staying in another hotel.

It's hard to put into words how wonderful out experience was at The Mandarin, KL. We both work in high-end hospitality, 10 years in London and now we are travelling and working in luxury hotels around the world - as you would imagine, our expectations are very high. The Mandarin Oriental was one of the very best hospitality experiences we have had.

We came here to celebrate my birthday and ended up leaving a day later AND engaged! The building is so beautiful and elegant from the outside and even more gorgeous on the inside; 1940's Art Deco style - with oriental touches that stay true to the Mandarin signature.

The food was outstanding, we ate at the Mandarine Grill and it was as good as the meal we ate at Dinner by Heston in the Mandarin in Hyde Park, London. Which is really saying something as it now has several Michelin Stars.

The service was also some of the very best I've ever experienced. Again, really saying something for it's quality. Just impeccable from arrival until departure, greeted and cared for by every member of staff with courtesy, elegance and warmth. I even got a Birthday/Congratulations Turndown service of balloons, origami towels, roses and a bottle of wine to surprise me even further when we got back to the room from the Guest Division's 'Atiko' and '....... '

Manager Adi was charming and gave impeccable service, as well as the waitress/host (didn't catch her name) in the cigar bar on the night shift. We can't recommend this hotel enough and it's nice to be inspired and surprised by the industry at it's finest even after all these years in the trade. Thank you Mandarin Oriental KL.

We spent our final two nights of our honeymoon here, we ended on a high!
The hotel is stunning, a great buzzy atmosphere and perfect location for shopping!
Our room was so beautiful, with views of the Petronas Towers.
We had a dreamy last day at the pool, which has incredible views, very comfy beds and efficient service. The chicken wings were incredible!!
We dined in the hotel steak resturante - delicious!
The hotel bar (with the piano) is so sophisticated and relaxing.
Our two nights were amazing - we will be telling everyone to visit!
