This hotel is lovely. It's not very modern but it has everything you need. And the location is simply wonderful! There is shopping and food galore right outside your door. And Eat Street is close by.
The hotel staff are very friendly. The breakfast is ok- it's a buffet. Not the best but has a variety none the less.
I had an unfortunate accident by the pool (entirely my fault) but the staff were very great at attending to me and my medical needs. They checked up on me and were just fabulous.
Highly recommended

Room Tip: Get a room above the 7th floor for a good view of the Petronas Towers

Choose another hotel - there are plenty in the area. I booked and paid for this hotel 3 months in advance and when asked for my preferences at the time of booking, I stated Non-Smoking and a Double Bed. Nothing special in that - but when we got to the room it had twin beds. When I contacted reception they informed me that there was no Double beds available. So in short - if you are on a hotel website that asks for your preference in bedding - choose another hotel!

Room Tip: Check and confirm the bedding choice you desire.

Melia is in a great location, just near the monorail. Front desk very friendly, and helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet, the cappuccino was authentic. Our room had no view, but we enjoyed the hotel very much. Well done, and thankyou from two Australian sisters.

Room Tip: Get a view.

Great location and a breakfast with lots of variety and quality.
The price is quite cheap for a hotel of Melia chain.
The rooms are very spacious and comfortable but the decor and the interior is a little dated.

Was staying again at this property. As it was my 4th time here, the crying need for renovation was something not new to me.
Good to know that finally it is (hopefully) going to happen.
I still like the central location and good food the property provides. So if you are ready to experience tired look of hotel, but the price is right, why not?

The Melia (as most reviews state) is in a great location, close to monorail, 5min walk to Bukit Bintang, directly across road from Berjaya Times Square, 7 eleven next door with ATM access and some decent places to eat close by. We stayed here for 4 nights and really cant complain about much. Staff were lovely, check in was fine, breakfast spread was good, swimming pool was clean and rooms are well appointed. The only negative I can say, is that our room was on a smoking floor (even though I requested a non-smoking floor). The smell of cigarette was not overly strong, but still lingering which was a bit off-putting.
Overall though, I would highly recommend Melia for a KL stay.

Located near downtown it is close by to any tour pickup points, the twin towers and the tower of Kuala Lumpur. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is very good. As for the rooms themselves I don't recommend getting anything below the level rooms 15-18. Any rooms below that are horrible, plain white and the decor looks old, honestly I had seen 2 star hotels in Germany that had better rooms. Upgrading to the level costs about 80 euros more per night, the level buffet is nothing special. But the rooms are slightly wider with a sofa and the Decor is much better.

I should mention that you should get down to breakfast early as during the arrival of a large group at 9:45 we had to wait in line to eat breakfast.
