“Almost perfect stay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 June 2014

Stayed three nights at the property as we wanted a different experience when visiting KL.
Property is located directly opposite the Pavilion Shopping Mall, which has extensive food and shopping choices. Jalan Bintang (shopping) and Jalan Alor (food) are also within 5-10 minutes walking distances from the Hotel. Getting to KLCC is also easy with their shuttle, or a 15 minutes walk along a covered walkway. My travel mates also like the daily doses of water served at the lobby.
Within the property, the facilities are well-maintained and great! We did not do the spa in the room (went to the the outlet instead), but will recommend the services of the spa operator.
Our rooms were located on the higher floor and were reasonably sized. Amenities expected of a hotel chain like this were present, so no complaints. Sleep quality is good, except that the air-con in one of our room were not functioning as cool as we would like it to be. We also requested for late checkout which the Front Desk acceded, which was great!
Breakfast was not included in our package, but we saw the spread and was very impressed with it. However, we decided that the cost would be better off for one to try the local breakfast offered outside the Hotel.
One problem we encountered on our last day was a guy smoking right outside our room and Security did not pick him up despite having surveillance camera installed along the corridor and our calls to the Front Desk.
Otherwise, a great stay experience and will consider to return.

We thank you for staying with us and truly appreciate your time in reviewing our hotel - delighted to know you had a great stay but most importantly our services and facilities met with your expectations.

The daily doses of water served at the lobby is our welcome drink called Elixir - fresh fruit infused in water without any sugar added. Glad your friend appreciates this small gesture.

We are sorry for not responding to your call regarding a guy who was smoking outside your room. We will address this matter with Security Department.

Once again, we truly appreciate your feedbacks and look forward to welcoming you back soon.

Take care and be well

This hotel is a really great all round choice.

For starters, the location is excellent - right in the middle of the city, within walking distance of many shops, restaurants and local attractions. It is about a 40 minute cab ride from the airport.

The hotel itself is beautiful - spotlessly clean, well appointed rooms, comfortable beds and a fabulously relaxing shower. The attention to detail is excellent - top quality toiletries and amenities in the room.

The staff are absolutely superb - friendly, accommodating and efficient. They made me feel very welcome and at ease as a lone female traveler. Every aspect of my stay was dealt with promptly and without any difficulty.

I ate dinner two of the hotel restaurants - the Living Room and Pregos. Both were excellent. The Living Room is more casual dining with a mix of Eastern and Western cuisines. Pregos is an Italian restaurant with a nice outside dining area and excellent food.

Breakfast in the hotel is fantastic - a huge buffet selection of food and cuisines from the basic cereals/continental breakfast style menu to stations cooking omlettes, Indian stations, Malay stations, Thai stations, fresh fruit stations, pastries........anything the heart may desire for breakfast! All freshly prepared and tasty.

There is a well equipped gym and beautiful resort style swimming pool area. The bar next to the pool is also a great spot for a quiet relaxing drink.

There were plenty of families around the hotel and there is a kids play room beside the pool (which is supervised so there is a minimal charge for use).
For a large hotel, the service has a real personal touch and the atmosphere is relaxing. I didn't hear one other guest at all while I was in my room.

I cannot recommend this hotel enough. I stayed for two nights on business and I would not hesitate to stay again for a holiday or work.

Just returned from third stay at The Westin KL and again it never fails to disappoint.

The location is amazing. Directly across the road from The Pavillion shopping mall, and a 5 min walk to other local malls. The Pavillion has a skywalk that takes you to KLCC mall and Petronas Towers in about 20mins.

The rooms are lovely. In my opinion it is worth the extra cost to upgrade to a twin tower view room, however with all the construction going on I'm not sure how long the hotel will have these views??
Huge marble bathroom and of course the 'heavenly beds'.

We had breakfast at the hotel and again this is probably one of the best I've had around the world.

Basically I could write about how great this hotel Is all day. It is the one and only hotel I would stay at in KL.

I just returned from a week-long business trip across Asia and I must say the best service I experienced was at The Westin in KL. From arranging transportation and making sure we got to our meetings on time to responding to simple requests for personal items forgotten, everyone was friendly, professional and timely in their response. I felt pampered and I know my colleague felt the same. Well done!!! Whoever is doing the training is doing a great job, so please reward them! :)

Upon check in and getting to our room, my husband and I were very disappointed to find stains all around the room and in the toilet, the room in general did not feel clean, even the furniture was very old and felt over used. We decided to that we did not want to spend our one week in Kuala Lumpur in such a room,The check in clerks at first tried to give us a hard time and wanted to charge us the full amount, we were even more disappointed that they didn't offer a room change or upgrade. Finally when the manager on Duty met with us and we showed him the room condition, he kindly upgraded us to the top floor suit, which was much better than the first room we were asked to stay in.But in general, the normal deluxe rooms are not worth the price. If you can get a good deal on the top floor suits, then i highly recommend them as the views are beautiful and the rooms are well kept

Room Tip: If you can afford to stay in the top level suits, The rooms are very spacious, clean and the views a...

During a family trip to we stayed at several KL hotels. And this was the best but actually not the priciest we stayed in. My husband was working throughout the day so the kids and I had to entertain ourselves. Perfect location to reach shops, sight etc. Pool area nice , rooms large and the suites are great for family time. The best thing about this hotel is the friendly, top staff. The lounge must be one of the best we have used anywhere in the world with excellent food, especially top breakfast with a chef on hand to make sure you get it how you like it. Would certainly recommend for both business or pleasure.

I stayed here for a few nights. And what I like most about the hotel is the staff. They are well trained. I think most hotel have similar feature in term of rooms/location but to get a hotel with good service all the way. It's hard to find.

Location: opposite the Pavillion Mall in Bukit Bintang. 10 min walk to night market.

room: Nice and clean, very comfortable and great internet signal. We had a suite so it's pretty large 2 toilets and a large dining table. It's pretty good. Very nice new towels. and they give you plenty of it.

Executive Lounge: Serve high tea daily (amazing) evening cocktail (not real cocktail like long island or mojito, it's more like a few bottle of spirit and you have to do the mix yourself)
selected items of canape etc...I think it's worth paying extra if you like to get a few drinks after hard day of shopping. Or an afternoon ice coffee before heading out. (they do takeway if you are on the go)

Service: as mentioned the staff is very attentive and prompt. From the concierge to the house keeping. Especially the executive floor staff. They did a good job. They are friendly and professional at the same time.

No spa at this hotel - only in room spa service

Swimming pool - I did not like the pool. Its wasn't relaxing. Not enough sun lounges for this size hotel. (10 in total)

Breakfast- lots of options. Indian dishes, japanese items, cook to order steak? and the standard european stuff.. There is a treat room that filled with cake, breads, and all sweets and savoury treats ... I can see why some people said it's ok and some said it's good. Its lot of option but some items are similar (maybe 5 different curries?) it's depends on what is your style of breakfast.

Room Tip: executive suite is the best room 3507 or any room such as xx07 only 1 available per floor.
