the hotel was recommended to me by friends who frequently stay in KL. I was overnighting on route to (and back from) a dive trip in the north of Malaysia. First visit to KL so was looking for somewhere central rather than the airport, and inexpensive. This hotel meets those expectations. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean. I was at the end of the corridor so wifi did not always work in my room (not a big problem for a short trip). Breakfast was OK - I wouldn't have paid extra for it on either morning, but was edible as part of an inclusive room fee.

the location is great. Right in the middle of the shopping area. Lots of life and colour in the surrounding streets. Not too far to walk to the Twin Towers (which I did). Would highly recommend for a budget visit.

If I was staying longer I would shop around and be prepared to spend a little more money for a little more luxury.

I've been to KL many times and know Bukit Bintang area very well having stayed here many times.
Sungai Wang and BB Plaza (since the 80's) is just a stone throw away. LowYat Plaza (for electronics and tablets/phone) is 30 seconds from Capitol's entrance. Berjaya Times Square, Lot 10, Starhill, and the prestigious Pavilion are all walking distance (5-10 minutes).

This hotel probably has almost full occupancy during peak season and its small lobby is always a hive of people coming and going. You need a card to access the lift (we had 2). Knowing getting a parking space in BB would be an issue, we didn't rent a car yet, anyway the front of the hotel is so small, a tour bus parking there would take up all the space, and you can't park and wait because vehicles from behind keep coming you have to move. Besides, there is a huge construction work of underground MRT going on just outside the hotel, it was so hemmed in

The room (double deluxe) is small but everything is working and in place. For MYR250 a night, this is still quite ok for downtown KL. Breakfast requires you to top up about MYR30 per pax, which I didn't want to as I can get good breakfast at Jalan Alor 5 minutes walk away.

I booked this hotel for two nights through booking.com about 2 weeks prior and didn't pay anything until I checked in. But they did call me up to verify before reserving the room for me.
Everything was in order and there was no issue.

Large hotel just off the main road. Short distance to bars and shops. Easy walk to fantastic malls such as Suggai Wang, Pavilion and BB Plaza. Very close to the famous ,eating street' called Jalan Alor, a world-famous hawker food street. Easy access to monorail transport straight to the airport or main railway station.
Staff were knowledgable, helpful and attentive. The cafe-bar adjoining the hotel served good western food and awesome coctails. I have stayed here a few times so guess I am very pleased. Rooms are a good size and have fantastic views of the Petronis Towers.

Without a shadow of a doubt, the strongest point for this hotel is its locality. It's practically right in the middle of Bukit Bintang and only a few minutes walking distance from two Monorail Stations (Bukit Bintang & Imbi but in my opinion Imbi is closer), Jalan Alor, Berjaya Times Square and other iconic places in Bukit Bintang. The room is quite small but nonetheless comfortable. However, if you're traveling on a tight budget, this hotel might be slightly out of range. But if you're on a honeymoon or it's your first visit to KL, then you should give this hotel a try and spend a little bit more. You won't be dissapointed!

Room Tip: Ask for a room a little bit further away from the lifts as it could get noisy especially late at nig...

The hotel was comfortable enough and close to local food, pubic transport and expat bars and restaurants. There are shopping and local food malls right outside the door and Petronis Towers and KLCC within a 5 minute taxi ride.

We stayed here for a couple of nights on our arrival in Malayasia our room was 1803 ,as the first room we were offered was on a Smoking floor ( N/S requested). This side of the hotel gives you great views over the KL skyline with the KL Tower, & the Twin Towers,& Jalan Alor with its outdoor food market.

After a night away in Melacca we returned to Capitol hotel for 3 more nights, and were given 1111 which has less impressive views.

The rooms were identical Deluxe rooms , but bigger than any I've used in Hong Kong, decent sized tv ,with a quite a choice of channels, the bathroom came with a wet room style shower.

Room Tip: 1803 was great for views , & I would guess any room ending **01 to **05 above 6th floor would ge...

Rooms are large and clean and although there were a lot of people coming and going the hotel did not seem crowded and there was no problem getting a lift. Staff are very helpful and will help you organise private tours if you want to visit attractions that are not easily accessible. Walking distance to the Big market and China town and little India. Fr homesick Aussies there is an Aussie steakhouse just down the road and for homesick Irish an Irish pub as well. Great smorgasbord breakfast but it is a bit pricy.

Room Tip: There are metro works happening just up the road so try and get a room on the other side of the hote...
