I stayed here for 4 weeks after the first few days I got a good 1-bedroom deluxe suite. My feeling of comfortableness was changed after I was asked to move to the "designated room" at lower floor that was said as a newly renovated room on the Premier Floors. The later room furniture and interior itself were okay and nice and felt homey with wall partition across bedroom and living room, but the centralized air-conditioning system was noisy with steady buffing grinding sound at the exact time every nights. Turning off the air conditioning did not help. We have asked the housekeeping about this but each time someone came by the noise was reduced somehow. Eventually I found out how to reduce the air-con noise: by turning off the bedroom air-con but letting On the living room air-con.
The later bedroom had one advantage over the previous one though, that it had wifi connectivity but the wifi strength was inconsistent.
Front desk and concierge staffs were helpful but it seemed that they were not available round the clock. You have to eventually waiting for a long few minutes before someone was ready at your service especially early morning and late night when you needed the most. However, they showed nice hospitality and willingness to help you.
I was a bit unlucky with being in the hotel during the fasting season, being not fasting but have to get my early breakfast. I had to skip my early breakfast routine at exactly 6 am every morning to get off to worksite at 6:30 since they did not serve any meal for non-fasting customer at 6 as they do for non fasting days in the 10-Binjai restaurant. During fasting season, the breakfast restaurant closed at 5:30 and re-open at 6:30 am. Breakfast itself was average with Malaysian traditional nasi lemak and its condiments, egg and noodle station, and fresh fruits and bakery selections.
I would suggest to ask for a newly renovated room at higher floors for a better stay and if possible ask for the Club floor. Being in the Club floor meant that you will get complimentary 2-bottles of mineral water and more attention given by housekeeping but being not in the Club floor, you will get complimentary 2-bottles of mineral water only on your first check in day. And I won't suggest to drink directly from tap water.
I survived staying in this hotel due to its comfortable bed, in the house spacious gym and great location nearby Ampang Park Mall and KLCC.

Room Tip: - Ask for more quiet bedroom - that is not in proximity of neighboring construction activity. - Ask for guest parking voucher to let you easily in and out without having to ask the front desk staff to stamp your parking ticket every time you want to go out. - Club floor/ higher floor maybe having less A/C noise, too.

The room was nice, spacious and clean

Overall the hotel staff is friendly, check in and check out were processed efficiently.
Location is Good as it is within walking distant to KLCC and also accessible to Train station. Less than 10 minutes walk to Ampang Park Shopping Complex & KLCC for shopping. Ampang Park Putra-Line Station, CitiBank is only 3 minutes walk away. Swimming Pool was great.

Overall stay was pleasant and satisfied

Stayed here on 28th March 2012 for a night at a 1-bedroom deluxe suite.
Was pleasantly greeted with an upgraded 1-bedroom premier suite. But no extra benefit of this room except better room setup and decoration, I guess.
Wired Internet is complimentary but quite troublesome since you cant access internet in your room.
Closeby to Ampang Park LRT station but be careful when walking as the roadsides are full of construction works and busy traffic.
There is an indoor playground for children.
Breakfast was average with limited choice but OK, such as fried noodle, egg station, cereals, juices, fruits.

We stayed at PNB Darby Park for two weeks and it wasn't pleasant. They were renovating floors 15-19, and despite this, gave us a room on the 14th floor. Construction was happening from 8am-7pm everyday except Sunday. Our friends were on the 10th floor, and the noise was unbearable even from there. They refused to change our room, even when our room started smelling of strong varnish coming through the air conditioners. The smell gave us headaches and chest pains. The supposedly free internet at the lobby worked extremely poorly, cutting out every 30 seconds to 2 minutes, meaning that you had to continuously sign in again, or pay for internet in your room for 250 RM per month or 50RM per day. A top class hotel should not charge for internet. Overall, a very unhappy stay at a very expensive hotel.

I spent 8 nights at PNB Darby Park Hotel, the 39 storey building is located in a very stylish and central area near the famous twin towers, aquaria (a lovely place to see the sea world) shopping & restaurants areas, underground station (Ampang Park), public and tour bus stops.
The hotel apartments is quiet spacious, having a fully equipped kitchenette, nice living room and most of the facilities anybody may need.
Unfortunately, the internet is not free at guest apartments, but it is available and free in restaurants and the main lobby. However, it is also available 24/7 for free at McDonalds that is just 3 minutes walking distance from the hotel (adjacent to the underground station).
Hotel staffs are active, very polite and ready to help.
The most important point is that we did not fully understand some of reviewers' comments regarding the difference between "Deluxe floors" & "Executive floors" till we tried ourselves!! The Deluxe suites were having old furniture, bathroom, A/C and smelly carpet (we changed our suite twice for different problems), while Executive suites at higher floors (recently renovated) were far better, with contemporary furniture, efficient A/Cs, new room facilities and even a better view. So, if you are looking for a pleasant stay, you have to be quite sure that your location will be at the EXECUTIVE FLOORS even it will cost more.
Recommended places to see: Birds Park, Aquaria, Twin Tower, Batu Caves, and for shopping: Sogo, Pavillion & Suria KLCC Malls.

Room Tip: Choose your suite at the Executive Floors (View from main entrance elevation is more better)
