“Worth Every Penny”

Wanted to find a place just to get away for the weekends and celebrate my wife's birthday. Saw some pictures on the internet and decided this was the place to be.

Checked in at 2.30pm 31/7/2011. Parking was complementary and convenient. Just one floor below the lobby. Check in was brief and hassle free. Immediately got up to our room. Very nice and spacious. Comes with a kitchen, living area, LCD TV, reading chair, writing desk, complementary broadband or wireless internet amongst other things. They are of excellent quality, properly arranged with good color coordination and lighting all round which truly gives you a 5 Star ambiance. Oh, good and clean toilets too!

If you're a tourist and not driving, the set back would be getting to the city center as they are not really within walking distance (unless of course, you're the adventurous type). The nearest would be KLCC Twin Towers but not advisable to walk as traffic is usually heavy on the main roads. Thankfully, we just took the available shuttle service provided by the hotel down to town. Its a one way - one time (11am) service. Cab fare back to your hotel from the drop off point shouldn't be more than RM6. Way cheaper than driving and parking at the malls along Bukit Bintang area. Just a shout out to our shuttle driver Uncle - he was professional and friendly (traits I don't experience much in this country). Thank you sir!

Pool area was serene and comfortable. Towels are readily laid at your lazy chair. 3 pool depth to choose from - baby, children, adult. So if you're bringing your young family to this place (like I did), no problems. There's a cafe, a fine dine restaurant and a gym.

All in all, a definite 5 Star experience by my standards. Like the reviews before mine - truly a hidden gem in this city. Checked out at 3.30pm - 2/8/2011

My husband and I stayed there for 2 nights in their one bedroom suite. Our last stay was 15 years ago and we were impressed by the improvements. Room was very spacious with free wi-fi and big tv. Kitchen well appointed with cutlery, fridge and microwave. Huge shower with rose showerhead. Big plus is awesome restaurant called Cilantro on the hotel premises. They served a very good but reasonable priced degustation menu with good wine selection. Bonus to be able to happily float back to our room after without having to fight the usual very bad traffic jam in KL.
Only downside is the location - the road leading to the hotel can get very congested after 5.30pm so don't bother heading back to change for dinner .
We paid MYR20 for breakfast at the hotel. Food is average but there are no nearby eateries where you can have a local breakfast.

Room Tip: There are ground floor rooms leading to swimming pool.

Lovely hotel doesn't look much as you arrive but rooms were truly amazing. Bed (4 poster) incredibly comfortable + pillows super luxurious!
Bathroom fantastic, with a wonderful shower.
Facilities to use a laundry on site. Bar / restaurant good.
Downside if you didn't have your own computer no free access to any internet. Have to pay for 1 hr regardless of how much you used. Taxi drivers were in the main nice but occasionally we were ripped off. It's only 12-15 walk to centre but it's across a busy road (walkway provided) 1 other slight downside if your companions are not on the same floor, you're not able to access their floor, as room keys will only allow your floor access.

Newly renovated the suites are nice and comfortable. Free wifi a plus. Service is awful though, you can be waiting for hours until you get service at reception, even when they do not very efficient. And pleasenput some fans in the lobby.

As mentioned in other reviews, the hotel is a distance away from the city centre. However, this was immaterial to us as we had rented a car and the hotel provides for complimentary parking.

The suite was generously-sized. It came with a full kitchen and living and dining area.
Room-wise, I booked a 3-bedroom suite and was a little disappointed that there was only one ensuite bathroom and a separate bathroom instead of the 3 bathrooms as shown in the room layout. It posed an inconvenience as we had 4 adults sharing one bathroom. As it was a short stay, I did not raise this as an issue to the hotel staff.

The hotel was relatively clean though the carpet in the rooms felt a bit grainy underfoot. However, bedroom slippers were provided. The morning papers left outside our room was a nice touch.

Overall, I would stay here again if I had transport but would request upfront if the suite come with 3 bathrooms before booking.

Room Tip: Request for the number of bathrooms you require upfront.

Stayed at Micasa over the weekend and since we had a car, did not have necessity of a centrally located hotel. The room was truly excellent - it was newly renovated, clean, large, pleasantly decorated, everything you could want/couldn't ask for anymore especially given the price. We didn't attempt to walk to KLCC.

Not my first time staying here and I've recommend this hotel for many friends. I was first attracted by their great rates for two nights stay during my first stay in 2010.

Great reception area follow by great rooms! Was amazed by their spacious room (studio) with all the suite amenities provided. Love the bed, love the view (a basic pool view), more of all you'll get the impression of (I'm home!)

Visited this place again this year April was rather disappointed that they do not prepare in room aroma therapy anymore. Kudos to the idea of having it during my first stay where they actually prepare for you before I came back from my dinner. Heard they have provide shuttle bus services now and I hope they will also improve their communication between staffs. Other than that, this is truly a hidden gem in KL. :) Definitely coming back again.
