well situated next to Bukit Bintang and the monorail, but room was not cleaned properly, staff were polite enough but just not very helpful - could not even manage to order us a taxi for the airport which was quite pathetic.

Room Tip: go for the executive room , the others are naff

Not to consider as was very run down and lack of facilities. The deluxe room we stayed was very basic and the bathroom lack of amenities. Nothing much to say about the breakfast as it was like canteen. For RM185, I am pretty sure one can find a much better hotel in KL.

The only thing good was the location. But for light sleeper this will be nightmare as it is just by a busy traffic junction. You can hear every vehicles passing by.....

My first and my last time to this place. Oh forgot to mention, if you are driving, they will charge RM10 for the carpark. Yes, you have to pay for the hotel's carpark. :(

Room Tip: Look for another hotel....

Overall it's good value but little would do to improve:
Pros:
1) Location is great: just a few steps away from the monorail and 10mn walk from Bukit and Pavillion shopping center (lively area)
2) Rooms are large (very appreciated by divers and/or families who have bulky luggage)
3) Cleanliness is OK and beds are OK
and contrary to others we liked the breakfast area located outside with mostly locals having breakfast. Although it was not our usual standard for cooking eggs we felt a bit like sharing KL working citizens breakfast.
On the cons side:
1) Service was appalling (we were received by a calculator i.e. literally the lady in charge punched in the machine how much we had to pay without bothering saying any "hello" or "welcome" even in Malay)
2) Cleaning could be slightly improved and furniture while cheap could be improved (e.g. a second cheap amchair could be added -as there is room enough for it- and is better than a chair)
3) Reception area is on 1st floor and is like a bank desk behind steel bars! Added to appalling service you just want to leave
With little investment a few things could be improved:
1) Reception: A more welcoming area on ground floor (carpet / plant / etc.) leading to a nice reception (no steel bars like in a bank / smiling staff / etc.) - or move reception to ground floor
2) Pool area (not available when we stayed): make it a pool guests can enjoy or get rid of it - this precious space is not used to its full - same for the parking which certainly brings revenue in but is a drawback for hotel guests who feel like in a parking
3) Add a few decoration items to the rooms to make them a bit more up close and personal

(Note: the owner is investing a lot in the restaurant and swimming pool area but we are not sure of the result. May be well advised to concentrate on just a few key objectives rather than trying to do everything)

No Complaints at the price paid. Worth every MYR. Cant get a better location. Monorail is like 200 Ft away. Rooms are not great but then again for the price dont expect too much. Meets basic standards of a frequent economy stay looking businessman.

We stayed here for one night on a quick stopover in KL. We've stayed in KL many times and have always had trouble finding any decent budget accommodation. Lodge Paradize was only a few dollars more than the crappy budget hostel we stayed in last time, so we decided to give it a go. Whilst the hotel is clearly still needing a little bit of TLC, it does have quite an old school charm. If you are in to old buildings then you will likely enjoy this place. If you are looking for a swish modern hotel then maybe try somewhere else. Everything from the retro lift to the stair bannisters are pretty funky and old and our 'standard' room was really good, with nice parquetry floors, solid brick walls, a nice big window and a decent sized bathroom. The standard room doesn't have a fridge or TV, but we didn't really need that anyway. The reception staff could be a little bit more welcoming and friendly, although they were helpful in getting a taxi etc. The included breakfast is better than most budget hotels but don't expect a fancy buffet! The old swimming pool is still not functioning and is currently just a water feature next to the restaurant.
The wifi didn't work at all on the 4th floor.
Bathroom was nice and clean with good hot shower and towels provided.
Hotel is located in a nice, quiet area but still only a 5 min walk (or 1 monorail stop) from all the big shopping centres etc. The monorail escalator is literally right out the main entrance of the hotel.

It looks like there is till some work to be done here. eg, The garden could do with a bit of work..
I just hope that in fixing up this hotel they don't destroy the old-school charm!
Definitely recommended as a good budget option in a good location and with a bit of character!

This hotel has the worst possible service. The manager and staff from the reception right to the restaurant that served breakfast were rude and ruined the mood for us. Don't bother with a smile, they won't even look at you or answer you properly. Room is clean and breakfast is poor, but the bad service was too hard to swallow.

Stayed here with a few of my friends and found the hotel very clean which was the most important for me. Equipped with all the necessities-TV/Airconditioning/Hairdryer/MiniFridge. At the doorstep of the hotel is the Monorial easily accessing to KL Sentral (where you can get the train to KLIA Airport). Minutes walk from Pavillion, Sungei Wang, and of course the Petronas Twin Towers.

Breakfast was delicious serving both western and local delights. Within the hotel premise is a local/thai restaurant which was also very tasty.

I woud definitely recommend this place to my friends again as it is value for money!
