We stayed at this place last September 2012 and got two rooms good for 4.. both rooms have two bathrooms each, two thumbs up as there is no need for waiting.. it may be small but not cramped, there is ample room for bathing and doing stuff.. plus, maybe since it was fairly new the time we stayed, but i loved their bathroom.. so clean and i love the tiles used.. one room has two double beds with thick beds that was super comfortable but it fills up the entire room and we have limited space for movements.. they give hair dryers upon request and was delivered immediately after i called them up.. the other room has one double bed and one bunk bed.. this one has a wall separating them so it feels like two rooms.. the beds were super comfortable as well.. the hallway has cute hello kitty paintings.. the lobby was very nice, with its painted walls, great for photo ops.. people at the reception were friendly and polite.. location was superb and for the price we paid, i believe it was a real bargain..

We stayed two nights in a triple room.Though it was not spacious it was clean and tidy.Toilets were very small. However its worth for the price.Thereafter we stayed another two nights in the penthouse which was really good.Kevin, the guy who was in the reception helped us a lot.Recommend to contact him to organize your stay.Even the other staff were very courteous.Hotel is located in a very convenient place.

Good: Location. Close to Berjaya Times Square for shopping and 30 minute walk to KLCC 15 minutes to Pavilion. Lots of restaurant and bars nearby too.
Price: for the budget traveller. Staff: Friendly. Condition of hotel: clean with nautical theme. We had two bathrooms (and toilets) for the family room.
Bedding: Actually amongst the most comfortable mattresses (medium firmness) and pillows (medium/thick height with medium firmness, not soggy), I have experienced. Clean and smelled good too. Aircons (two of them) were fully controllable from the remotes. Flat screen TV was good.

Not so good: Small rooms and small bathrooms. Showers were pretty much over the toilet in the family room. Noise from alleyway, especially surrounding restaurant staff for those restaurants near the hotel. The bunk bed was very high with not much fall protection so would be a bit worried if I had small kids up there. I decided to let the kids have the double bed, and I would sleep up on the top bunk. The foldaway table was pretty much coming of the wall, so unusable. Was a real juggling act with all the bags when trying to move around the room.

If on a budget and I was by myself, I could stay here again. If I had a family, and could spend a bit more, I would probably look at another hotel.

Room Tip: Don't stay on the lower levels as it is too close to the noise of the alleyway, which the Furama...

Upon getting there, we were happy that the hotel is so well placed in the middle of the bustling city with major attractions like bukit bintang walk just a stone throw away (if you take the alleys).
Receptionist is totally weird in the way she speak and to be honest I was offended by her attitude and overall service. Went up to room and I got the shock of my life. The room is so tiny that the bed is just right next to the door and the toilet is totally nonsensical with the freaking toilet bowl taking up 90% of the floor area so you had to bathe with restricted movements. THATS NOT HOW A DOUBLE ROOM SHOULD LOOK LIKE. Walls are thin and we can hear noises from corridor throughout the night. With price tag attached to the room, you can easily find better accommodation that provide a far more comfortable stay around that area. Another thing that annoyed us was the policy of this hotel. We were granted late checkout of a hour but upon checking out, we were asked to pay extra and the joke of the day, they actually printed a invoice for that with the particulars saying we have an early check in and LATE check out. Mind you, we checked in at 6pm. Please do your maths properly. However, location and attitude of the housekeeping staffs were totally awesome. Choose this only if it is the last option.

*There's a new guesthouse nearby which is est in 2013. Decorations were superb and we saw tons of people checking in at 12 am!

Room Tip: Last resort

We read the reviews and knew we were getting a small room, but we could barely fit our bags in the room, and we could hardly squeeze ourselves into the toilet/shower cubical. There was also a really strong musty smell in the room.

The staff were friendly, and the Imbi location made things easy, but for this price in KL, you can find much better.

This is a late review though, i have to say, wil come back to stay in this hotel for a couple of reasons.one, the room is clean, though it is a bit small(since this is a budget hotel), but it is well kept.another is easy accessibility to traspo and food. My mom n i took the goKL bus which is at berjaya times square which happens to be just 3 mins walk from the hotel, we went to see the petronas twin tower.also, outside the hotel, there are alot of food available, one morning when we went out, we just spend RM 6, both for our breakfast, food is affordable and clean..the staff are friendly and wil go extra mile to help you wd ur needs (where to eat,how to go to places and etc) our special thanks to Siri and Elysa for welcoming us and helping us wd our short tour in ur place.thank you.

For my second trip I chosen again SS City Hotel as my HQ, this time for 1 month (yes, one month). I'm still happy, cheap and generally clean hotel with good access to public transport, close to local food and laundry service (about 7 min from hotel)

Tip: Any TV has a HDMI socket
