The TV tower 360° open-air observation deck is way less crowded than the one at Petronas towers. There is a piece of glass floor for taking photos and the bar to watch the spectacular sunset. Come right before dusk to get the most fantastic views.

There were long queues to get in. So we paid extra. I don't like to normally but it was very hot and we had number of places we needed to see that day. The view from the top was astonishing worth every penny to get in. There were odd sticking areas where you could sit on a glass floor and have your picture taken. A bit tacky for me if I am honest. But I didn't use it and it won't affect my 5 stars. This is an iconic building which I would heartily recommend putting on your itinerary even if you have to beat the queues.

I was lucky to visit the tower on a clear day, the views were nice and its actually higher than the Petrona towers and you get to see them as well. The observation deck is a bit useless though and you feel you're in a souvenir shopping mall. The good experience is the sky deck and that sky box. Only issue was the queues as they were only using 2 elevators for taking people up and down (1 to observation deck and 1 to the sky deck), also the sky box queue was too long as there was only 1 operational.

The menara Kuala Lumpur is the highest national flag in KL depicting the day they secured independence. The flag pole stands alone at hop on hop of bus stop number 17
