“There are two Little Indias!!!”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

Be aware that there are two neighborhoods called Little India. The original old one is in the Brickfield area and is a small stretch of street with a few restaurants, stores, and a real feel of authenticity albeit small. The new Little India is a little north near the Masjid Demek and is bigger, cleaner and not quite as appealing from a tourist perspective. It is also very convenient to get to and has a lot of cheap restaurants close by

Great walk trough little india. You can get your fix of lassy (mango smoothie with yogurt) or those wonderful curries that you come to miss when you are back home.

“Lovely place.”
Reviewed 8 May 2014

We went to Little India during the day, but Oh' what I liked it. It smelled so good with all the food and it was so beautiful with all the colors. I thought it would be bigger, so maby we missed some bits? It was still really nice and I would love to go back and try out the food next time and go by night :)

“Visit during the night - eat at Seetharat!”
Reviewed 3 May 2014

So many places for street-food you can't go wrong. This area is in the Brick fields section and has been cleaned up for tourists. Must dine at a local favorite spot - Seetharat! Ask to be served on a banana leaf and they offer samples from their meat or vegetarian buffet tables! always busy enough to ensure fresh food. Amazing taste extravaganza!
