“Old, dated hotel”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 July 2014 via mobile

Decided to stay in Dynasty Hotel despite the bad reviews. Stayed only for a night as location was near to where I want to get to early next morning.
Used to be a grand 5 star hotel. I remembered staying there around 20 years ago. What a difference it was? It is now rated 3 star. I would rather rate it 2 star. This place really is in need of a total refurbishment.
Let's start with the plus point - the rooms are big, air conditioning work well & beds still comfortable. On the negatives - there are many. The rooms looked dated, even the towels felt old, the TV was an old box TV, the shower did not work well, the key card door lock sometimes could not open the door & the rooms smelt musty (really felt old). But what made me rate this hotel at 2 star was the cockroaches in the room. Really couldn't stand it.
Breakfast was average & satisfactory.
Overall I would definitely not come to this hotel again.

The amenities are not up to date. They are still using box TV. No free wifi! :(

The room is large. Quite and high floor. The bathroom is large with bathtub and shower. Can use the swimming pool, gym, and parking. The food is good. Near to PWTC.

It's no longer a 4 star hotel. It's rated as 3 star now. The hotel is kind of old, but the price is good.

I've been staying in this hotel one or two times before, but I always forgot to give it a reviews whenever i'm free. But now that I've stayed there for the third time and quite frankly I never feel soo eager to give it a review and comment that I decided to spend my morning comtemplating my stayed there.
First of all, this is a very big hotel. The location is not very nice because it is far from everywhere. It is situated in Jalan Ipoh KL which pretty much got nothing to do or look if you're a tourist. For non tourist also, the location is very bad. Luckily, there's a mamak restaurant next door which give you an option when ur hungry. But the parking is a nightmare! the parking leading upstair level is a nightmare and very narrow which makes it very stressfull to steer.
The staff were quite decent and not rude which is acceptable to me. They even let me check out late since I check in late also.
But the real deal was the room. The room was HORRENDOUS!!! I never thought a Dynasty Hotel could maintain such an ugly and very very dirty room! As a matter of fact, this is the second time I felt that the room in this hotel were very, very low on standard. The bed was very hard, the carpet were not cleaned and dusty and the worst part were the toilet. The toilet were sooo bad I felt like wanna puke! They got bath tub with no pipe to fill in water, but I bet you can pee in the bath tub since it got long hose to wash if you're urinating in the bath tub. And to make thing worse, there seems lots of colourful stains inside the bath tub and also in the sink! The water heater also were also broken as it always poured boiling water whenever you open the hot water. And the TV channel....mygod....theres practically only 2 channel and both channel were not even ok to watch! and before I forgot, there seems to be fungus everywhere in the hotel especially at the wall beside the front door as its always wet and never been cleaned properly before.
Last but not least, is the breakfast. The breakfast was pretty decent for the money you paid. I' think I've been to far more worse breakfast in a hotel before. But the food was limited and coffee tasted bad.
Overall, the hotel is in a very very bad condition and urgently need a refurbishment to make it relevant anymore. Don't stay here if you're a tourist from over sea as it will only give KL a bad name, but stay here if you want a budget-luxury hotel.

Room Tip: Higher room has a killer view of the city centre.

I stayed here for 2 nights this May 2014 and found that this is the worst hotel ever seen. Bathrooms are dirty, bedding was smelly; replaced after so many complaints. No free wifi facility.. they will charge you 5 USD/hour for wifi usage. Service is pathetic. Overall, I asked my travel agent to cancel put my 3rd night stay over there and change hotel for me.

I stayed in 1514 for 2 nights. I was booked into this hotel by accident. Nevertheless, as i reached the room. I think its a spare room as wen i on the tap the water is rusty. Theres a unpleasant smell. Stinky. I was lucky that i have some fragrance. The pillow was smelly too. The furniture, door and tv all needs to change. They are old. Toilet doesnot have water hose,no hole cover, water was rusty,no shampoo and conditioner just a basic need like 2 box shower caps however 1 is empty. And one soap. There was also no mineral water which is usually complimentary. Is this the standard that a 4star hotel should have??

It makes my holiday stay here a moody one. I will never come back to stay in this hotel again

Old. Rusty. Filthy. Dingy. Disgusting! Paid RM180 a night for a ****hole. Do not go there..ever! My mum thought it was as glamorous as it was in the 80s. It's not even close to decent. Horrible toilets with pumps that dont work..tubs with holes from rust the size of a bowling ball and the shower place is covered with mildew..yuck! The room is dark with blown bulbs mostly. Beds are creaky and smelly. This is just a disgusting room all over!

We stayed a night on 2nd december and was told this is a special rate. Normal rate is RM220. A night at AirAsia Hotel is so much better. Please tell everyone never to stay at this hotel. Spread the word. If they want to charge people money for crap like this, then for the love of god, clean up! Otherwise, shut the place down. It looks more suitable for a horror movie set!

I have to write 200 words for this to be publised but there is really no words to describe it except one.. Disgusting!! So I am just going to repeat this until i've reached 200 words....disgusting.....disgusting....disgusting ....disgusting....disgusting....disgusting....disgusting....disgusting....disgusting....disgusting....disgusting....disgusting....disgusting....disgusting....disgusting....disgusting....disgusting....disgusting....disgusting....disgusting
