“Great location and value for money”
Reviewed 30 April 2014

Very good location. Just next to Petaling street, Plaza Rakyat LRT and also very near to bus shuttle service to airport.. Enjoyed the food at Petaling Street. Special mention: the very delicious bbq seafood/meat/vegie on satay stick, the famous claypot bee tai mak (short rice flour noodle), the duck leg wrap (duck liver and pork meat wrapped in roasted duck skin) and also the famous luo han guo (monk fruit) cum longan drink.

Room clean, comfortable, spacious and with bath tub. Water temperature warm enough for shower but not warm enough for a good soak in the tub.

Like the gym but it's not available earlier than 7am. Don't quite understand because the gym is not manned by a hotel staff and hotel guests only need to draw the access card from the front desk.

But still a pleasant stay on the whole :)

Having stayed here every year for the past 2 years has let me confirm that hotel is getting old. Room is alright for its location to Chinatown is just a 2mins walk away. Hotel staff are friendly and always wear a smile. Room have a nice view .
This hotel really need to revamp if not it will lose all it's customers.
Carpark has many lots but a little small so park at your own risk. There are Watson n 7-11 stores just downstairs so no worries on that. Night stores at Chinatown are little but good enough to try some lok lok or street food.

Overall for its value . This hotel is still can stay for at least 2 nights

While most of the hotels with similar star around KL and Damansara have significantly upped their prices, Ancasa Hotel remained affordable. In fact, for less than RM200 per night, I was given a superior room with bathtub, welcoming complimentary drinks and snacks, mini bar, free wifi and of course inclusive of breakfast. Although I came early, the receptionist was able to check me in and reserved a room for me, so that when I came back after work, all I needed to do was to ask for my room key. As it was just before Good Friday and Easter, the hotel was significantly overcrowded. Despite that, there was no sign of panicking or stress among the staff, attentively attending to guests' needs and demands. Room was comfortable, it was even more comfy than my first visit (I believed plenty of renovation and refurbishments in between). I was given a room on the 13th floor (the staff must have remembered than I like higher floors). My view was that of the magnificent KLCC and PETRONAS Twin Tower, even the nearby Moorish-looking church provided for a wonderful sight from my window. Pasar Seni's LRT Station which I used to commute to and fro for work is just 7 minutes of walking distance. Taxis and busses are very easy to get. Plenty of cheap and nice food surrounding the hotel, especially as Petaling Street is right next to the hotel. I can see myself staying at this hotel for most of my travelling assignments in KL.

Room Tip: Get a room on the higher floor for better view and WIFI signal.

Spent two nights recently at the Ancasa Spa Hotel for work requirement. Situated about 45 mins cab ride from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport at Sepang, I found the hotel welcoming. The lobby is bright and clean, while the check-in process was smooth and hassle-free. The amenities available in the room are clean, though some items, eg. shower-head, bath-tub, may look a little worn due to usage.

One of the biggest draws offered by this hotel is the breakfast provided. It is one of the best I've tried - in variety, taste and quality. Next is its location, which is about a 10-minute stroll to the Plaza Rakyat train station; 3-minutes walk to Petaling Street, where food and cheap shopping is available whole day; and 20-minute train ride to Jalan Alor, where more great food is in abundance.

Overall, I would not hesitate to be a return customer.

I stayed a total of three nights while passing through KL at the beginning and end of my holiday.

The central location is the main attraction of this hotel, close to the main shopping areas as well as general public transport and transport to and from the airport.

While the furnishings in both the rooms I stayed in are becoming somewhat frayed and worn, overall this continues to be a comfortable hotel in which to stay. The bathrooms, although 'tired' were clean and the towels of good quality, this was a dramatic improvement on the previous occasions I have stayed.

Staff at the reception desk were efficient and friendly, although the Caucasian manager could be more customer focussed. The quality and variety of food on offer make the breakfasts exceptional value.

Room Tip: Request a room on either side, or the back of the hotel. While the rooms overlooking the street at...

I had 5 days at this hotel recently . I was able to check into 10am on the first day after arriving early . Good facilities , the room was more than adequate and had great views . Hotel is in great location close to Chinatown and other sights of interest. Plenty of public transport options are close by too ...the local train and monorail services are so good , clean and easy to use .
