“Very nice Hotel with nice apartments”
Reviewed 13 May 2014

Nice Hotel with nice rooms.
Very quiet rooms. The kitchen areas full equipped and everything is working. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful.
A small shop downstairs is available. A bigger supermarket with everything you need is available around the corner.
Good location to explore the city. Everything is in the near.

Just had a wonderful two night stay at this great serviced apartment. My wife and I received an up.grade that included a study. More space than we actually needed. Check was hassle free. The apartment was tidy and had complimentary supplies of tea, coffee, dishwashing liquid. Staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. There is a convenience store on the premises and a buffet breakfast is served. However, if you require a more varied, extensive menu Souled Out Restaurant is about a twelve minute walk down Jalan Ampang. Buffet breakfast costs about US$ 6. Another big plus was the fact that there is a supermarket (Hock Choon) about a two minute walk from the serviced apartment. I was able to purchase New Zealand sauvignon blanc and pinot noir for under US$ 17, almost the price in N.Z. Was able to enjoy the wine, at a nearby restaurant, that did not charge corkage. Great, because a glass of wine in Malaysia is expensive.

Room Tip: You generally get lower prices by booking on the internet.

When booking this hotel through expedia, I managed to book early and get an upgrade to a superior suite. Check-in was smooth, quick and efficient. Staff in the hotel are very friendly especially directing to streets/shopping malls you want to find. Ordering a taxi is quick and efficient from the hotel but also take advantage of the free bus shuttle run by the hotel. It isn't widely advertised but it does run and schedule times can be requested from staff.

The room was wonderfully spacious, the largest accommodation I have ever booked for the price I got. The suite had a fully equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms, a walk in wardrobe and spacious living and bedroom. The location is so easy to get to, 30mins walk to KLCC Petronas Twin Towers.

Rooms are spacious and allow lots of light in from outside which is a wonderful change. However, the hotel is a little older and requires upgrade or renovation. Furnishings require proper maintenance and more professional paint work. The bathroom tub was disgusting and scratches/dents were covered by paint.

The hotel has a convenience store which is very handy, especially for buying drinks or snacks. An improvement to advertise the hotel's services would be handy especially if there was a welcome pack in each suite on check in. We didn't find out until the end of our trip that the hotel had a laundry.

All in all, the experience with this hotel is wonderful.

I had chosen KL as the city in which to spend my birthday week, and was glad to have a huge apartment where we could make our own meals and spent time watching TV in the living room (even if the furniture was old and the apartment itself is in need of repairs). However, on the night of our arrival, walking back from KLCC, my purse was snatched right off my shoulder by a motorist. The hotel manager supported us in our need to make collect calls and photocopies so we could be prepared for all the administrative woes we were to live through. They even delivered a birthday cake on my actual birthday. The thought was nice and appreciated, but I must still warn you about the corruption you face when in need of a taxi. It is everywhere, at the hotel or on the streets.

If you somehow chose to visit KL, this hotel can certainly be a good choice, but beware of their transportation desk, especially when asking to be driven to the airport. We had to pay a really high price in advance and… the driver didn't bring us to the right airport!!! We had to pay someone else 50RM to get us to the right airport (and that's because that new driver was nice and understood our situation - he actually used the meter, not wanting to pay the airport personnel their 'fee' of 100 RM… I am telling you, there is corruption everywhere).

We stayed in this hotel for 15 days in April and really enjoyed ourselves! For a family of four, the two bedroom suite was perfect and gave us plenty of space to spread out. The front desk was responsive when we had a need and the bellhop was always quick to help us find a taxi. By the time we left, it felt like a second home.

Room Tip: We stayed in an updated room, and it was gorgeous!

very Clean and Comfortable but the Check In staff need to improve their performance. We pre-book the hotel 2 weeks earlier and upon arrival, they asked us to wait for 3 hours because the room is not ready. The room service is also need improvement as they normally don't have the food that you order and even if they do you need to wait one hour for it. It is such a shame because this hotel is really a nice hotel. They really need to improve their management and staff performance.
