“Top class business hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 July 2008

Top class business hotel with exceptional service. My room was upgraded and had state of the art entertainment equipment including a 48" plasma. The fitness center was also excellent although there is a fee for using it.

My only gripe is that after a week I started to get a bit jaded with the dining options.

Excellent, contemporary hotel with great staff! The breakfast was to die for! Everything you ever wanted was there. Fruits, cereals, all kinds of Asian & Western food. Numerous stations cooking to your order. Fantastic breakfast room!

Very nice bedroom with pretty slippers and robes. Extremely comfortable beddings. Crabtree & Evelyn bathroom toiletries replenished a galore. All modern conveniences in the room, including tea & coffee, bottled water, etc. Excellent views!

The swimming pool was great, connecting to the Meridien Hotel. It had pretty waterfalls and a slide(mainly for kids), my husband tried it!

We had dinner one night at the Lebanese restaurant, "Al Nafourah" at the Meridien Hotel, excellent food, beautiful setting, and variety of food. Well worth every penny. It even had a belly dancer. We reserved one of their private tents and it was wonderful. Highly recommend it!

The Hilton is located in front of the KL Sentral. Very convenient for getting to the different downtown locations.

Would stay here again in a heartbeat & would recommend to relatives & friends.

  • Liked — Overall ambience of the hotel, breakfast, bedroom/bathroom setting!

I have to say this is the best hotel I ever stayed in KL. I was just looking for a weekend break and took that chance to stay here. It was fantastic!

The staffs were very friendly and ever willing to help. As an asian, I usually expect to be treated less compared to the western couterparts in Malaysia(must be a colonialist syndrome) and as such was not particular with service if it was delivered half heartedly. But at Hilton, I don't feel that way at all as I was really (for the first time in Malaysia's Hotel) treated like a guest.

Room was fantastic - large clean bathroom with auto (japanese styled) bijet toilet sans toilet paper. (There are toilet paper too if you need them) Large 42 inch tv is really a treat.

In all, I will definitely return to this fantastic hotel!

The reception was frosty and a long check in after a long journey. For 2 nights the rate was 420 MYR/night but they asked for 1500 deposit. I could only give them 1000 but the next morning they sent me a letter under the door asking to contact reception. Again a frosty reception, pay up or else. I would have checked out but they have a 24h cancellation policy so I would have had to have found another hotel and still paid for this one. So if you don't have a credit card, make sure you have a lot of money before checking in. The money you get back you can take home as a souvenir of a bad experience.
Hotels should be enjoyable experiences not hassle.
The internet cost more than some other hotel room rates with free internet. They advertise WiFi but it doesn't extent to the room. You have to use your laptop on a table right in front of the TV so either the wife could watch TV or I could work on my laptop but not at the same time. I will definitely not be coming back to the Hilton. There are many much better hotels out there. Many, with free internets which work fine.
All the staff say hello, have a nice day but it's so artificial. They don't say this when you are talking about your account.

This is really a 5 star hotel with a very attentive and personal service. The concierge was really helpful showing my way around the city, the check in desk is really efficient, the lobby guys always carry my shopping bags the minute I walked into the lobby, and he even wheeled my big suitcase to the station on my way to the airport. They also have a "Magic" button service, whenever you needed anything you just press 1 number and they serve you more personally. As for the hotel itself, I love the modern design and interior of the hotel, it reminds me of an Opera Cake. Rooms are big, really clean, deliciously interiored, with all the 5 star amenities (its own cute packaging). The bathroom is also a 5 star experience, spotless clean with modern shower and tubs. The breakfast served has wide variety and it's one of the best I've ever had. As for location, it is one of the best. Just 1 minute walk away (all you have to do is go down the elevator from your room, cross the lobby, go down another elevator, cross the small street and you're there). So far, this is one of the best hotel I've ever been to.
Also mentioning that if you like F1 racing, the crews usually stays here during the Sepang race. I bumped into Lewis Hamilton and the night before qualification it was like F1 wall of fame as they had a gala dinner here.

  • Liked — Interior, location, facities, and amenities.. almost everything

WOW!!!

What a hotel. I was at the start of my honeymoon with my wife, obviously and this hotel was amazing. The fact I was a Diamond member may have had something to do with it. We were upgraded to a Hilton Lifestyle Suite for our four night stay and could not fault the hotel. The Jacuzzi on the deck outside was a huge bonus. From the time we checked in until we checked out the staff could not do enough for us. On arrival, we had wine in the room and petals leading through the lounge to the bedroom and bathroom, and they had run a bath with bubbles for us as well.
Each day we were able to launder 4 items of clothing free of charge, as well as all the extra perks that are associated with the Executive lounge. When using the MAGIC button on the phone wheather it was for laundry collection or just asking for a bucket of ice, they were ringing the door bell within 5 minutes which I thought was outstanding.
The food provided in the resturant was excellent, the only down side was the price of a bottle of wine was at least £30.
I will definatly be returning to this hotel, especially with the proximity to KL Sentral train station for the monorail and KL Express.

Any questions just ask. The hotel is excellent!!!

I stayed for 6 nights at the Executive Floor. The staff didn't always do things right, but what's more important was that they're trying very hard each time to fix it. Most people are friendly, some I knew was faking it, but again, at least they're trying very hard to deliver, and that's all that matters sometimes.
Rooms are nice, clean and crispy everyday, love the touch of burning essential oil every night.
Great breakfast and dinner on the Executive Lounge. Appreciated that!

  • Liked — Crispy linen in my bed
  • Disliked — Staff trying too hard to small when they're not genuinely friendly.
