Peninsula Residence All Suite Hotel
Reviewed 24 December 2012

I hv 2 kids. So, the room has 2 queen size beds. Very good.
Room smelly a bit. So, please bring air freshener.
Breakfast was not tasty at all. Not worth it. Book your room without breakfast. Better rate. Bring your own bread, bun for breakfast until you get out of the hotel for proper eatery spots.
Parking area to small for an mpv. Difficult to manouver around.
1 aircond not functioning well.
Overall ok, because of the rate and the room size

Room Tip: Request for room level above 6. Ours on 6th floor, facing open road. Very close, around 5 foot.

It was a last minute decision to book the room here. It was midnight when I'm there. It was pretty dark at the lobby with the lights turn OFF (Lobby should be bright and lively!!)

Anyway, check in was fast and smooth. Went to the room - The room is big, with a living room, small kitchenette, and a small balcony; well for a room rate less than RM200 it is actually kinda good!!

Room with this price, in terms of cleanliness - nothing to shout about. Furnitures are old.

Overall, I would say it is worth for money it if you would just want a low price room to stay for 1 night at a big room.

Stayed here for 4 nights while on business trip to KL as it was located quite near to the offices that I was visiting. The GPS took a long route to arrive there as it was on the opposite site of the road.

Couldn't make full prepayment through the hotel's own website, however could pay at other online websites (a little confusing as the hotel's own website should have been easier to book at)

Was there during the "fasting month" so the hotel was not very busy. Check in process was smooth and fast. Two key cards are given as one is for the lift access and another for the suite. Car par is a little narrow and can prove a challenge if driving a large car. Car park also did not feel that safe as it was dimly lit.

Was difficult for me to sleep as the stale cigarette smoke in the suite was overpowering. Requested a room change the following day and informed that no non-smoking rooms but they would try to put me in a suite that did not have a "strong smell". Was asked to come down to collect new set of keys. However requested it to be sent to me as the new room was on the same floor, it was done and room change was effected promptly. Both rooms stayed in was facing the main road and can be a little noisy.

The layout of the suite was a little narrow, as you came in there was the dining area, fridge & small kitchenette (no chinaware, glassware or cutlery provided). Then you walked through a narrow passageway to the living room area with a 2-seater sofa & writing desk.

The bedroom was in the middle of dining area and living room. Queen size bed, rain shower, toilet and a sunken bath that was too small and actually was not designed properly for comfort.

The good thing was that there were more than sufficient plug points to be used. TV could be changed to a LCD TV for better viewing.

As was fasting, the hotel provided simple "sahur" fare that was sent to room between 4-4:30am. It was palatable and not particularly tasty.

Room cleanliness could have been improved as there were cobwebs and spider in the toilet bowl, wall paper was peeling off, corners were not cleaned properly. Ironing board & steam iron provided, however the maid did not keep it back after my use. Bath and floor mat was threadbare and rough, one bath towel was torn.

Had to come down whenever leaving the hotel as the car park ticket had to be endorsed 15 minutes prior to exiting. Although a little inconvenient, it was made up with the friendly & pleasant receptionists.

All in all a convenient hotel is need to travel in the vicinity, not much activity at the hotel itself and have to travel out for better choice of restaurants

Room Tip: Choose rooms away from the main road as can be noisy. Ask for room that does not have strong cigaret...

This hotel is just right outside the city but in the middle of nowhere. The reception and staff are repsponsive though their policies are not progresive: they will only bring you three towels (no hand towels and no additional towel for the pool). You need to pay for wifi connection that is very slow. The layout in the rooms are horrible-so much space is wasted (so many walls in the rooms) and you re stuck in a cramp space where you can hardly move. You will bump yourself all over the place. Hot water is non-existent even if they say it's on. The room is extremely dry that I developed an eye problem. You also cannot open the windows/balcony due to the dust from the highway.

I have stayed at this hotel multiple times because of the distance to KL centre is very near and the hotel is always quiet.

The price is not bad at all specially when you book online. it is about RM170 -Rm190 per night and it is very comfortable as the nearest hotel would be HIlton KL (RM500++).

I like the pool, the sauna and the room service is not bad too.

Will keep on choosing this hotel.

the hotel is oddly located in a highway. there is only 1 bus i know that passes by in this area from kl central. there are no train stations nearby so if you are the type of traveler that wants to try out public transportations, this hotel is not suitable for you. taxi is the best way to go from and off here. if you are that kind that wants serenity, this is for you. the hotel and facilities here are quite old but the rooms are clean. for my 2months staying here, i think i have been placed to several rooms already, some are ok with a good view of the highway and trees on the others. the design of each room is like a condominium unit that is why you will feel like you are home. big rooms. hallway carpets are dirty. i stayed here for quite a while and i must say that breakfast here is all and the same that is why maybe i got tired of it already. the set lunch is delicious and cheap too! anyway, all in all, an average hotel in a high-end residential area.

Room Tip: get a high level room for a quieter place

Please do not rent or plan to check into this hotel. I am currently a tenant in one of the apartment units in the same building and my place was broken into last Monday. I lost a total of RM8000 in cash and valuable. My neighbour who occupies the unit infront of me was robbed 2 months ago as well. We are suspecting it is an inside job, maybe from the same person. Till now, no one wants to take responsibility, The hotel management is blaming the building management and vice versa. Their idea of "TIGHT SECURITY" is 2 guards at the carpark and 1 security manager who is also the driver of their hotel van. If you fear for your life and safety, please think twice about staying in here even for a short trip, The robbers are targetting both hotel guests and residents.
