If you are a light sleeper and choose to stay here on Friday and Saturday nights, please request for a no-window room or rooms not facing the main road. The noise from the outside traffic caused by "mat rempits" or "illegal motorcycle racers" at night time is horrible. It is very disruptive to your sleep even though my room is on the 6th floor. Out of the 3 nights stay with Tune, I only get to sleep comfortably in the last night. Other than that, even with basic room without air conditioning, the breeze from the fan is pleasant. Sogo is walking distance where you can do some shopping and get some food. This hotel is also at a strategic location where you can easily access the monorail (towards the left) and LRT (towards the right) about 5 mins walk. Taxi is also available outside of this hotel.

Room Tip: request for quiet rooms or rooms without window for a good night sleep especially on weekends

Dear Guest,

We are sorry about the noise caused by the illegal racing that had marred your recent stay. We have brought this to the attention of the local authorities for further action.

I agree with you that rooms facing away from the main roads help eliminate the noise from traffic. So please speak to the front desk about your preference and they would be able to allocate a room at the quieter end of the building if one is available.

Thanks for taking time to share this review with us.

We hope to welcome you back and provide better service.

Regards,
Sharon De Silva-Customer Care Manager

Stayed recently for 4 nights due to 50% offer.
Decent clean room but very small and no wardrobe and no small fridge. Decent small bathroom with hair dryer and toiletries. Fan in the aircon room is an added bonus. Small window.
Location is ok, 10 minutes walk to the Medan monorail station. Walking distance to Chao Kit for street shopping and wet markets.
Weak wifi signal in room.

Room Tip: High floor facing twin tower view.

Dear Guest,

Thanks for the review and for the suggestion about the wardrobe. We will keep this in consideration in our future expansion.

Currently, Tune Hotel is primarily focused on providing clean, secure and comfortable rooms.

Our limited service concept means that we reduce the room size and complimentary extras whilst simultaneously lowering the prices we offer. We are happy to read that you have secured promotional rates during your recent stay.

We hope to welcome you back soon.

I stayed there for 2nd time, again for 1 night KL stop-over. Service and price are great as always, however cleanliness and condition of the room was not very good this time. Maybe because I was in the old wing? There were couple blood stains on the blanked and walls were dirty with black markings. Also many cigarette butts outside of the window...probably a guest before me smoked in the room. Overall, I will probably come back as location and price are unbeatable and it's okay for 1 night stop over and I would recommend it to others on budget.

Good hotel with walking distance to LRT or monorail stations, shopping malls and food outlets. It is an affordable hotel with clean and comfortable rooms. There is a 7-eleven grocery shop, a San Francisco Cafe and a ATM machine on the ground floor next to the lobby. There is a laundry service on the 7th floor for only RM2. This hotel provides no parking service but there is a private parking lot that charges RM8 - RM24 for parking fee.

Room Tip: Room with windows on the centre are quieter and better for family.

This hotel has easy access to food must visit places, public transport..it would be nice if you come all the way travelling using public transport..if you are coming with own car, you need to pay extra for parking fee (not under tune hotel management) which can be up to rm24 just for parking fee..

I was there in May 2014. Excellent place as a budget hotel. Walking distance to Medan Tuanku monorail station and Sultan Ismail LRT station makes it more cost effective. 7-eleven grocery shop at the ground floor is 24 hours open. San Francisco coffee shop at the ground floor offers good breakfast. You can find a Starbucks, Pizza Hut, Secret Recipe and a Meals Station on the Maju Junc Mall opposite the road. McDonald's, Subway is in walking distance. Try Meals Station, they were our favourite throughout our journey.

Rooms are little bit small. But enough. Hot water and a ceiling fan is included in the basic package. No toiletries and towels included in basic package. Ita cheaper if you buy a towel and toiletries from a local shop, than including them in the package.

Btw, reception staff needs little more training to make it quick. Had to wait long long times at reception for every single query.

Hard to beat the price, particularly when you book during a special promotion. I was expecting big changes after the renovation but was quite disappointed. Although one can see improvements in the lobby & public areas, I really could not see any difference in the room. The air-conditioning unit was playing up as usual & for the humid weather in KL they really need to fit a solid high capacity brand in all the rooms. One real problem was that although I was there for a few days & put the sign on the door for my room to be cleaned every day, it was not done even once during my entire stay. This is not acceptable & the management really needs to lift its game with so many budget hotels in KL, there are plenty of other choices available. One radical idea would be to knock down the whole place & build a new hotel along the lines of their new hotel at KLIA2 with decent space & good quality fittings in all the rooms. I have to remind the management that just because it is cheap, it does not have to be tacky & tasteless. They can still do a much better job.
